When entering the world of the X-Men for the first time it can be often daunting and confusing. That is why I put together this timeline of events. It is hopefully informative but also light enough for anyone interested in the world of mutants to understand. The dates are purely there to show how much time has passed between events, and could be substituted with any dates. I have already posted a timeline on this site but here is an extended version.

Confused by the years listed, why does it start at 2020?

I found this useful for my wife. I always have to give a brief bio when a new film or cartoon come out. I don't mind teaching her, she just likes to have a cheat sheet, she can't carry my x books everywhere, lol like I would let my books leave my house.

This has been posted before. The years make no sense at all.

Cool. Cyclops has been at it chronologically for almost 25 years. Have they ever said in any comics recently if he's close to being in his forties? I know the sliding timetable can be kind of ridiculous in comics, but just curious if anyone has proof of an error. I know they happen.

Yeah Iceman was the youngest of the original five. But I don't think he was younger than fifteen. So Cyclops would be just under forty. Professor X has hardly changed at all. Dude should be approaching seventy in the books. Magneto makes sense cause Alpha turned him younger physically. Is Prof X in a cloned body right now? Shit I can't remember.
