With it's much-anticipated release a week away, promotion for Fox & Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class prequel has been hitting heavy this past week. And now the leading stars James McAvoy & Michael Fassbender, have used a 12-minute Sky Movies featurette displaying their bond, & ultimately reminiscing working on First Class, bruises received while filming, & more.

X-Men: First Class charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men. Starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Kevin Bacon, and January Jones, the film releases June 3!

If Fassbender is naturally that light blonde, then why did he go brown for the movie? Doesn't Magneto have light hair, even in youth?

Funny, McAvoy seems miscast, yet in the original trilogy Magneto felt miscast........

You guys know that Don Creech is playing William Stryker in this movie? So that deffinetly means this is a whole different universe to the previous X films since I'm pretty sure Creech is much older than Danny Huston and Brain Cox's Stryker right off the bat. Food for thought.

looks like turning out to be a triumphant return for x-men franchise,though sad @ not having wolverine who is the only reason I love or interested in x-men.

yo gilly, dont trust IMDB bro. I could go in there, and say Zoe Zaldana stars as Ororo Munroe senior, thus making her Halle Berry's Stormy momma, doesnt mean she is actually IN the movie

Even with the buzz I don't know whether I want to see the movie. I'm too bored of the x-men for me to invest myself into the world. But Hey thats my opinion and these goes certainty have a charisma with each other which was needed

What's the name of the song that plays during the intro of the video? Sounds familiar but I can't put my finger on it....

Gilly @ Its NOT a whole different universe, they use clips of X3 for promos and HUGH [frick]ing Jackman's got a stupid cameo???

How are X-Men Fox lovers so blind?

Its like CW ones thinking Welling was gonna be wearing the suit and cape halfway through the Finale?

Geez lol.

It's both. They have ties to the previous films but clearly disregard them in some ways too. I dunno, strange idea but I hope the next film distances itself even more from the originals.

Lee, we;re not blind, we;re thoughtful. Try it.

This was a cool vid.

No, I hear you about IMDB but the only reason I say this is because in that one clip with Emma Frost he (Don Creech) is one of the guys thats behind the glass when they are interigating her. Makes me believe Stryker actually is in this movie. But then again,its IMDB...

@RorMachine
I think your right and it would make sense. Kinda like Superman Returns and the new Star Trek in a way. Hopefully it doesnt mind frick all of us. I said it before on one of the editorials that there will probably be NO time travel involved in this series to "fix" the timeline. It just would be way too confusing.

BTW, sorry, this really has nothing to do with the interview lol. I thought I would just write it here since this was the most recent First Class story lol. Good Interview!

the chemistry between these two actors is amazing.

Cant wait to see how they develop the relationship of Xavier and Eric, it will be a great watching.

As far as continuity goes, Vaughn did say that they took inspiration from Bond movies. Maybe it's got a similar vague continuity while being its own thing?

man, I have never seen so many goddamn clips, pics, and interviews for one movie. They must think they have something good here.

It's probably been said before, but: we should frame this movie, not as the first class of X-men, rather the X-men universe prior to the X-men we know and love. This isn't just a prequel in the sense that it is the timeline before X1, it is a prequel in the sense that it is the timeline prior to the first issue of the X-men comic (continuity issues notwithstanding). It is mis-titled more than anything.

@boyle360

The song is Mirrorball by Elbow.

I'm really looking forward to this movie, but this interview sort of just had the two totally bumming each other. And not in a friendly banter kind of way but as if they actually wanted to sleep with each other.
