X-Men: First Class charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.

X-Men: First Class is set to be released in the UK on June 1st and in the US on June 2nd.

Now that's a poster! I love it, helmet looks great.

And yes, it was photoshopped. Like all posters are

its an improvement, personally i think this movie lost out on all of the good hype time, were soon gonna start seeing trailers for everything else coming out this summer and i think this movie may just get lost in translation :(...I'm still pumped for it though ;)

Their photoshop skills are getting better. I've enjoyed all the trailers for this movie, but their posters have been sub-par....at best

Stunning is a matter of opinion. ;-) Not liking it too much. Too much blue going on for my taste. Actually, too much going on overall. The shading/lighting is pretty bad. You can hardly read some of the text.

Yeah it's better than their recent efforts but I'm still convinced that Fox hire kids to promote their movies. Not that Marvel are much better! At least Fox ATTEMPT to put a but of thought into them.

You guys wouldn't have clicked on the article if I'd written, "Average New Poster For X-Men: First Class Poster Unveiled!" now would you? :D Seriously though, I really do like it. Best one yet IMO. But why does Havok look like Iceman? Hmm...

Ror - I agree with you on the posters of Thor, which all have been meh, but the one for Cap was pretty bad ass no? At least it payed homage to a classic cover of the comics.

However, how much thought did these take?

If I walked into the movie theater lobby and saw this poster I would have little to no desire to see this movie. I think its time that these ad departments for these comic book movies start paying homage to their source material and give us a poster that looks more like the cover of an actual comic book, ala the Capt. America poster. Throw some action on the poster, maybe entice someone new to go see the movie instead of making it look like the cover of a teen girl's diary with X-Men stickers on it.

It just looks too much like some high school or first year design school assignmnet. It's too busy, there are too many competing elements and the figures at the bottom look out of place. Epsecially next to two huge blue faces. If this is from the studio I shake my head ruefully.
