Now that I've officially seen X-Men: Apocalypse I've decided to rank all the X-Men movies from worst to best!

9. X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Honestly this movie should have been awesome considerng they've gotten Wolverine right so many times how can they mess up a solo movie with him. The first 15 minutes was pretty solid, Hugh Jackman once again does a good job in the role, Ryan Reynold in the beginning of the movie as Deadpool was good until they screwed up his character at the end, and Liev Schreiber was good as Sabretooth. It does goes bad after the first 15 minutes. Sabretooth is Wolverine's brother in this movie but they don't remember each in the first X-Men movie which is a gaping plothole. The CGI was terrible even Wolverine's claws looked like shit. The new mutants were terrible and shoehorned for no reason. The action was also bloated and over CGI'd. Botox Charles Xavier looked terrible. Also, I think it's pointless to have an origin movie about Wolverine when he loses his memory at the end. They completely ruined Deadpool near the end sewing his mouth shut even though he is called the merc with a mouth. Thank god they redeemed Deadpool with his solo movie and The Wolverine movie after this disaster.
8. X-Men: The Last Stand
Oh boy this was where the franchise went downhill and it's because Bryan Singer left the franchise to direct Superman Returns leaving Brett Ratner to direct this movie. The movie throws away the depth and emotion that Bryan Singer did well with the first two X-Men movies. It introduced way too many mutants in the movie while also trying to juggle the Dark Phoenix saga in the movie which they completely destroyed. Also, I'M THE JUGGERNAUT BITCH! Kelsey Grammer was good as Beast and Ben Foster was good as Angel but they're completely wasted. Sure the action is entertaining to say the least but still...WHY ON EARTH WOULD THEY KILL CHARLES XAVIER? And they made Cyclops into a complete wuss who they kill off in the beginning of the movie. Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, and Patrick Stewart are really the only original cast members still trying to give a good performance.
7. The Wolverine
I overall dug this Wolverine movie and it's by far an improvement over X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The film is loosely based on the comic book by Frank Miller set in Japan. It's entertaining, the action is solid, this is probably Hugh Jackman's best performance as Wolverine in the franchise. I will say the film did turn into a video game near the third act and Viper did seem like a villain out of Batman & Robin. Despite those complaints I liked this movie and I can't wait for the next solo movie with Wolverine which is probably going to end up being Old Man Logan.
6. X-Men: Apocalypse
I enjoyed X-Men: Apocalypse but it's not perfect. James MacAvoy and Michael Fassbender are once again great as Professor X and Magneto. Oscar Isaac did a great job as Apocalypse with the material he was given even though he went overboard with his speeches. Kodi-Smit McPhee was great as Nightcrawler. Tye Sheridan was great as Cyclops. Sophie Turner was really good as Jean Grey. Evan Peters is once again awesome as Quicksilver especially his sequence in the movie is great. The Wolverine cameo was great. And I liked Alexandra Shippe as Storm. As far as complaints Jennifer Lawrence was phoning it in. Some of the new mutants barely get screentime (Psylocke has two line, Archangel was wasted, and Jubilee is barely in the movie). And the horsemen aside from Magneto have no reason to be there. It's better than X-Men: The Last Stand, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and The Wolverine but it's not as good as Bryan Singer's other X-Men movies, X-Men: First Class, or even Deadpool.
5. X-Men
Yes Blade came first and the first Sam Raimi Spider-Man movie was the first to actually break box office records but the original X-Men was the movie to actually revive the comic book movie genre. Introducing the world to Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and I think he is one of the best casting choices in any comic book movie, I also Patrict Stewart as Charles Xavier and Ian McKellen as Magneto, and all the other X-Men are great. The action was entertaining as well but it also dealt with philosophical issues that mutants have gone through, Bryan Singer did a great job at directing this movie, and it still hold up 16 years later even though there are a couple of cheesy moments but I still think it holds up more the first Sam Raimi Spider-Man movie.
4. X2: X-Men United
Following the continuing conflict of mutants not being expected into society there is also William Stryker who hates all mutants wants to take them out. Obviously I love this movie and I think it is better than the original X-Men movie. The action sequence with Nightcrawler in the White House is my favorite scene in the movie. The direction, storyline, and acting were solid as well as the score by John Ottman. I absolutely love this movie, it expands the X-Men universe, and it's one of those movie where the sequel is in every way better than original. Bryan Singer shows once again that he is the man for the X-Men franchise and it's one of the greatest comic book movies of all time.
3. X-Men: First Class
After X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men Origins: Wolverine it seemed like the X-Men franchise was dead and buried....That was until X-Men: First Class redeemed the series by having Matthew Vaughn (the director of Kick-Ass) as director bringing a fresh sense of life to the franchise by telling the origin story of the X-Men. James MacAvoy and Michael Fassbender are great as Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr (Michael Fassbender being the standout performance). I also really liked how they made Charles Xavier a relatable character. The writing and directing was great as well as Henry Jackman's score. All in all, I love this movie and it did a great job at reviving the franchise.
2. X-Men: Days of Future Past
I love this movie and it did a great job at erasing the mistakes of X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Bryan Singer was able to make everything great again and he managed to balance the original cast as well as the cast of X-Men: First Class perfectly. The standout for me was obviously Evan Peters as Quicksilver and the kitchen scene with Quicksilver is my favorite sequence in the entire movie. No disrespect to Quicksilver in Age of Ultron even though I did like that Aaron-Taylor Johnson's version but Evan Peter's version was better. It humanizes Charles Xavier bringing him to his lowest low and there were moments in the movie where I teared up because I felt for Charles Xavier. Hugh Jackman once again as great as always as Wolverine and Michael Fassbender was great as Magneto. Jennifer Lawrence was awesome as Mystique she was badass, intense, and sexy (I don't know what happened with Apocalypse). Overall, I love this movie and it completely wiped away the debacles X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
1. Deadpool
TIME TO MAKE THE CHIMI-[frick]ING-CHANGAS! Okay Deadpool isn't necessarily an X-Men movie but it is in the X-Men universe and it's my favorite hands down because it did Deadpool justice after the debacle X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Ryan Reynold is honestly perfect for Deadpool and I'm definitely glad he got the chance to redeem himself after Green Lantern and X-Men Origins: Wolverine. It was funny and I'm glad it was rated R because it had to be. The action was awesome, violent, and gory, TJ Miller was great as Weasel, the pop culture reference, and the pop culture reference and making fun of other superhero movies and Ryan Reynolds' other movies were just incredible.

Anyways, that is my rankings for the X-Men movies so let me know your thoughts down below.

its hard to say what I think about Apocalypse. I liked it but I will admit it was flawed and wasn't as invested as impost of the others. It's better than X3 & the 2 Wolverines but not as good as X2, First Class, Days of Future Past & Deadpool and I can't decide if it's better or not as good the first movie which I do like.

It feels weird to include Deadpool among x-men movies, since it doesn't have any of the themes that characterize them.
But I guess neither did the Wolverine solo movies (not that I can remember them very well cuz they're kinda forgettable)

Anyway, for me they peaked early, with X2.
In particular, the action hasn't gotten any better, nor more creative. Quicksilver is cool but repetitive. Nothing has topped Nightcrawler's opening scene in X2 and that's a big deal cuz it's been a long while.
