X-MEN: DOFP To "Right Wrongs Of The Past"; Bryan Singer Not Mentioned At WonderCon Panel

In what could be a sign of things to come, X-Men: Days of Future Past director Bryan Singer wasn't mentioned at the WonderCon panel for the movie, while Simon Kinberg has described it as making up for Fox's past mistakes. Which ones? Well, X-Men: The Last Stand's take on Dark Phoenix for one...

Writer and producer Simon Kinberg was on hand at the WonderCon panel for X-Men: Days of Future Past today as a replacement for the previously announced Bryan Singer due to the allegations made earlier this week that the director raped an underage teen. While the host of the panel used alluded to the subject, there was not so much as a single mention of Singer according to The Hollywood Reporter. This could give us an indication of where things might go from here, especially as there have already been rumblings that the filmmaker won't appear at any of the premieres of press junkets. While he is innocent until proven guilty, Fox clearly don't want him associated with the movie until this whole situation is dealt with. In other news, Kinberg had this to say about the big screen adaptation of the beloved comic book story. "This and the Dark Phoenix are two most famous stories. We could have done better with the Dark Phoenix," Kinberg said, referring to the critically panned take on the story in X-Men: The Last Stand. "This is our attempt to right the wrongs [of] the past." How do you guys feel about this news? Sound off below.
