After its victory over Leonidas' 300, the Persian Army under the command of Xerxes marches south towards the major Greek city-states. The Democratic city of Athens, first on the path of Xerxes' army, bases its strength on its fleet, led by admiral Themistocles. Themistocles is forced to an unwilling alliance with the traditional rival of Athens, oligarchic Sparta whose might lies with its superior infantry troops. But Xerxes still reigns supreme in numbers over sea and land.

STARRING:

Sullivan Stapleton as Themistocles
Eva Green as Artemisia
Lena Headey as Queen Gorgo of Sparta
Rodrigo Santoro as King Xerxes
Hans Matheson as Aeskylos
Andrew Pleavin as Daxos
Callan Mulvey as Scyllias
David Wenham as Dilios
Jack O'Connell as Calisto
Andrew Tiernan as Ephialtes
Yigal Naor as Darius

RELEASE DATE: March 7th, 2014.

@dick, mushroom tip eh?

If DC wants to make a Wonder Woman movie right, they should have a feel of 300 movie in it and make it's location in Paradise island. And let Aquaman make a cameo because Paradise Island and Atlantis can work in the same setting.

@SuperCat

besides Eva Green having good fun while playing an Evil character i don't see anything interesting here.
Besides too much time has passed since the first movie came out ...

BANNER... I agree 100% on that Wonder Woman/Aquaman thing.

JERRY... I miss Leonidas and the 300 Spartans but I still want to see the movie because I love the imagery of the film, and Eva Green too.

i think SIN CITY 2 will be a proper sequel to Miller's work. Once the trailer will arrive everyone will start to rewatch part 1.

The trailers for 300 part duo are ... meh.

300 is more than a cult film...it made quite a big splash upon release.
Solid box office take & made stars out of a few cast members.
Cool movie..End.

Still a shame that they didn't shot this with 35mm with heavy grain like the first film… Would've felt a lot closer to it. However, despite the fact that they went digital, it's the red epic not some shitty camera like the arri alexa which is lower in resolution than 35mm film XD.

Wish they would have done a prequel and done the battle of marathon. Athens actually won like 5 to 1 odds in that battle. Maybe after this one.
