The Expendables are back and this time it’s personal… Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), Lee Christmas (Jason Statham), Yin Yang (Jet Li), Gunnar Jensen (Dolph Lundgren),Toll Road (Randy Couture) and Hale Caesar (Terry Crews) — with newest members Billy the Kid (Liam Hemsworth) and Maggie (Yu Nan) aboard — are reunited when Mr. Church (Bruce Willis) enlists the Expendables to take on a seemingly simple job. The task looks like an easy paycheck for Barney and his band of old-school mercenaries. But when things go wrong and one of their own is viciously killed, the Expendables are compelled to seek revenge in hostile territory where the odds are stacked against them. Hell-bent on payback, the crew cuts a swath of destruction through opposing forces, wreaking havoc and shutting down an unexpected threat in the nick of time — six pounds of weapons-grade plutonium; enough to change the balance of power in the world. But that’s nothing compared to the justice they serve against the villainous adversary who savagely murdered their brother. That is done the Expendables way…

I don't HATE these type of movies, they are too inoffensive. But I don't enjoy them except for comic value either. People always say "aw who cares about the story" but it's not JUST the story that sucks! It's bad script, acting, dialog..even stunts! The first one actually sucked in the main department it should have excelled in imo. All we got was a few old men fist pumping to a lousy soundtrack. If I wanted that I'd watch Pensioner Porn Wars 4.

But ya know, each to their own!:)

Wow, it cracks me up that there are so many professional movie critics here on this site. You guys know all there is to know about everything. I had no idea these type of movies are supposed to excel in a certain area. Maybe you critics are selling yourselves short. I mean, as gifted as you are, you certainly have more to offer them editing for a comic book website, right?? Maybe you should cure cancer, end world hunger, etc.?? Pshh Bruce Lee only kicked Norris' ass in a MOVIE, and that's because Norris was ACTING, and because e of the sheer universal paradox that was created from Norris even pretending to lose, Bruce lee's family was cursed. Why do you think they always die on movie sets? Duh!!

I used to imagine this dream casting when I was a kid. I like it for what it is. Unfortunately what it is isn't great.

Hopefully there will be a director's cut when it hits dvd with the action and violence back in. After Chuck cried to have it edited for content I lost a bit of excitement for this.

I'm almost certain Van Damme fought the film makers to include his signature splits scene in the film somewhere. It's in every single one of his films...one way or another. Whether it's the floor...tables...walls...somewhere.
