According to Deadline, there's a Danger Girl movie and TV series in the works from Constantin Film, Bolt Pictures and Adrian Askarieh’s Prime Universe Films.

J. Scott Campbell and Andy Hartnell's comic series started out back in 1996 under the Wildstorm banner before moving to DC. The story focused on an adventurer named Abbey Chase, who is recruited by a secret spy organisation to be one of their operatives along with Sydney Savage and Natalia Kasstle.

Hartnell and Campbell are on board as exec producers along with Constantin’s Robert Kulzer. Writers and directors are currently being looked at.

Do we have any Danger Girl fans here? What do you make of this news? How about some Abbey Chase casting suggestions? Sound off below.

PLEASE let them keep the comedic parts that the original story is so known for....The comics of late have been less funny....

Unless Campbell is personally drawing the actresses with those absurd hip-to-waist ratios, I don't see this being a huge deal.

I say no to the movie but yes to a TV show..

I’m kind of surprised that there was enough of a premise behind Danger Girl to sell. As @Spock0Clock suggested, the only point of it was to see J. Scott Campbell’s cheesecake art. Did he ever turn out enough issues to make for a complete story?

either Kelly Rohrbach or Charlotte McKinney as Abby Chase.

One of the most bland comics ever. The only appeal was the art. Maybe it'll make a better film, but somehow I doubt it.

Pamela Anderson produced an action/comedy-drama series called V.I.P. that was pretty similar.

@ChuckV - There were a glut of them a few years back. She-Spies, a Charlie's Angels revival (on TV, not the movies).

It's a tried and true formula for low-grade somewhat leering entertainment. Having the Danger Girl logo on top probably won't contribute much.

Yeah, it was a rip-off of V.I.P.
I was there, in the studio.

@Tighelander - Danger Girl came out before VIP.

@FlixMentallo21 - Wow, memory is a funny thing.
You are right.
Maybe the inspiration was Charlie's Angels, or the pilot TV show named in "Pulp Fiction".

@FlixMentallo21 - Okay, I was wrong. One thing I'm sure of is that I was the reason that Bruce Campbell wrote the forward for the Danger Girl TP.

@case - if we're talking about 90's comics that doesn't narrow it down much.

Say, Constatin, the film company that bought the rights, is the same company that made the awesome 90's FF movie. I'm sure their Danger Girl movie will be just as good.

We had that in the 70's already – it was called Charlie's Angels.
