HOMELAND's Damian Lewis Talks Possible Superhero Roles And The Chances Of Playing 007
Confirming that he never been approached to play a comic book character, Emmy Award winning Homeland star Damian Lewis reveals whether that would be something which would interest him and describes the possibility of playing James Bond as "wonderful". Check it out!
"You just have to do what seems interesting at the time," Damian Lewis told Esquire when asked how he would feel about playing a comic book character on the big screen (a type of role he revealed that he has yet to be offered). "If someone said, 'We want you to play Amazing-Man in the next Amazing-Man franchise', I suspect one year it would feel right, the next year it wouldn't." A fairly noncommittal answer from the actor, and perhaps a disappointing one considering the fact that many fans would love to see him take on a variety of characters. Lewis was then quizzed about how he would feel if the coveted role of James Bond was ever offered to him (because despite his impressive American accent in Homeland, he is in fact British). "Yes, I think it would be wonderful. Daniel is doing an amazing job and he'll continue to do it for a bit. But if it ever comes to that, I'll cross that bridge when I get to it."
