MGM announced late last night that No Time to Die, Daniel Craig's eagerly awaited fifth and final cinematic adventure as Agent 007 James Bond, has officially wrapped filming.

The film, which was directed by Cary Fukunaga (Maniac; True Detective), is said to pickup with Bond enjoying the good life in Jamaica, having left active service, but his retirement is short-lived when an old friend shows up at his doorstep seeking his help. However, the seemingly simple mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than anyone could've expected, which leads Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with extremely dangerous new technology.

In addition to Craig (Casino Royale; Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, Spectre), the film will also star Ralph Fiennes (M), Naomie Harris (Moneypenny), Léa Seydoux (Madeleine), Ben Whishaw (Q), Rory Kinnear (Tanner), Jeffrey Wright (Felix) and Christoph Waltz (Blofeld). Newcomers to the franchise will include Academy Award-winner Rami Malek (Bohemian Rhapsody), Ana de Armas (Blade Runner 2049), Billy Magnussen (Game Night), Lashana Lynch (Captain Marvel), Dali Benssalah (Flash), and David Dencik (Quicksand).

Cary Joji Fukunaga is directing with a screenplay he wrote with contributions from Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, Scott Z. Burns and Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

Principal photography began earlier this year and is expected to wrap up within the next few weeks,, if it hasn't already.

No Time to Die opens on April 8, 2020.

hope he goes out with a bang ..... wasn't a huge Bond fan before Casino Royale , has a bond ever died at the end of any of the previous films ?

@knocturnalzen10 - James never dies. I think the movie franchise relies on a loose inconsistent canon. Can’t see a full on death and reboot working out well but who knows.

@knocturnalzen10 - James Bond has never been killed off at the end of any of the films. I’m hoping No Time to Die won’t be the exception.

@continuezero - The canon is loose but I wouldn't say inconsistent. People like to argue with me about this but CASINO and QUANTUM take place before Sean Connery, while the rest of Craig's run take place after Pierce Brosnan. Its all in the details...
This is why all the Bonds since DIE ANOTHER DAY are about Bond getting old with SKYFALL, SPECTRE, and now NO TIME TO DIE

@mgeoff88 @continuezero- i figured as much but just wanted to make sure .... thank you gentlemen .i want to see Craig go out well , I've enjoyed this Bond run especially CR (best bond film ) to me of course .

@KNIGHT3OOO - Those are fair points and I can see the logic behind what you’re saying. Although that timeline has never been official confirmed. There are still inconsistencies though, such as M. Your timeline would start with Judi Dench then go to the run of men in between then back to Judi Dench and then to Ralph Fiennes. Then there would be the conflicting appearance/origin of Blofeld. Not to mention Blofeld killed his original wife Tracy.

@continuezero - Right exactly, I understand what you are saying, especially about M. In GOLDENEYE it was implied that M (Judi Dench) was a former Boss that was famous for being a heartless number cruncher, so 1 could take a stretch there a bit. Plus she is too great an actress to just replace, 1 might even say she was "standing in".

The Blofeld thing though, as I said are in the details as well. But as you adequately put "loosely". You see Blofeld was famously known to have had many "doubles" or "decoys". 1 of which killed our beloved Tracy. It was later assumed that Roger Moore killed Blofeld in FOR YOUR EYES ONLY. But it would be in the film SPECTRE that Bond would finally meet the real Blofeld. This is why that film starts with the banner THE DEAD ARE ALIVE. Not in reference to Bond's believed to be dead adopted Brother, but in reference to the death from FOR YOUR EYES ONLY. He also explains this to M (Ralph Fiennes) toward the end of the film neglecting purposely to mention their relation and original identity. "The long believed dead, head of SPECTRE Ernst Stavro Blofeld"

@KNIGHT3OOO - That was really interesting and definitely makes sense. I had no idea about the time between Quantum and Skyfall.

Thanks for sharing that info. I learned something today haha.

Hope Daniel Craig gets the send off he deserves, that being said I hope they announce Henry Cavill to be his replacement because just LOOK AT HIM.

@Superspecialawesomeguy - Cavill's probably gonna be budy with the Witcher for a while. He's already 36 so he'd be 40 by the time Bond 26 would come out and at the rate they're releasing these movies he just wouldn't have the longevity in the role that i'd want. He's also way too big and I doubt that will change any time soon.
