After being previously rumored to be in line for the main villain role in Bond 25, Collider now reports that Academy Award-winning actor Rami Malek has entered final negotiations to play the latest thorn in 007's side.

It sounds like this is pretty much a done deal, but the studio is currently working on finding a way to accommodate Malek's commitment to shooting the final season of Mr. Robot. Details on the character he'd be playing are scarce, although "the villain has been rumored to be a blind man."

Should Malek sign on, he'll join returning cast members Lea Seydoux, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, Ralph Fiennes and, of course, Daniel Craig as the iconic secret agent. In addition, Variety reports that Billy Magnussen (Maniac) is "the top choice to play the CIA operative that crosses paths with Bond."

The still untitled Bond 25 is set to fire into theaters on April 8, 2020.

His Oscar was deserved, because he was 100% the best part of that movie. But best Film Editing? Are you kidding me?

That movie was edited (almost) as badly as Suicide Squad...

Man this guy is killing it! Would definitely give us a different Bond villain than we’re used to. Fingers crossed this picks up steam and moves ahead asap.

Ironic because I'm right in the middle of writing a review for every Bond film on my blog. Talk about time consuming.

Wait, whats going on with this movie? Last i heard craig wasnt in but never heard any new developments until this. Is craig still involved? Because if so i really dont see whats so exciting about this. He clearly has zero passion for this role anymore. I really dont get why this role wasnt recast. How many actors would jump at the chance to play james bond?
