As expected, Keanu Reeves' criticlally-acclaimed action threequel,
John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum, is exceeding expectations at the box office and is now all set to win the weekend with a phenomenal $57 million domestic debut, nearly doubling the opening of its predecessor,
John Wick: Chapter 2 ($30.4M), and quadrupling the launch of the original
John Wick ($14.4M).
Internationally, the Chad Stahelski-directed blockbuster pulled in a stellar $35 million, bringing its current worldwide total to an estimated $92 million and putting it on pace to become the highest-grossing film in the entire franchise.
John Wick has also pulled off another major feat, finally taking the box office crown from Marvel's
Avengers: Endgame, which earned a respectable $29.4 million in its fourth frame. Its worldwide haul currently stands at $2.614 billion ($770M domestic; $1.844B foreign) and is only $173 million from toppling James Cameron's
Avatar to become the highest-grossing film of all-time.
