The Continental is about to open its doors on Peacock, and the first trailer and poster for the John Wick prequel series have now been released (via ActioNewz.com).
Coming to the streaming platform this September, the spin-off takes us to 1970s New York City and is set to Donna Summer's hit song "I Feel Love." A number of gun-toting assassins are showcased, as are a number of corpses! Amid all the action, the young Winston Scott steps into the hotel for the first time, unaware of what it holds in store for him down the line.
Described as a "three-part event," the series will see Colin Woodell take over the role from John Wick star Ian McShane.
"The three-part event will explore the origin behind the iconic hotel-for-assassins centerpiece of the John Wick universe through the eyes and actions of a young Winston Scott," reads the official synopsis, "as he’s dragged into the Hell-scape of 1970’s New York City to face a past he thought he’d left behind."
"Winston charts a deadly course through the hotel’s mysterious underworld in a harrowing attempt to seize the hotel where he will eventually take his future throne."
The Continental also stars Mel Gibson (Cormac), Mishel Prada (KD), Ben Robson (Frankie), Hubert Point-Du Jour (Miles), Nhung Kate (Yen), Jessica Allain (Lou), Ayomide Adegun (Charon), Jeremy Bobb (Mayhew), and Peter Greene (Uncle Charlie).
Greg Coolidge, Kirk Ward, and Shawn Simmons wrote the series, while Albert Hughes directed the first and third parts, with Charlotte Brandstrom stepping in for the second.
