Lionsgate Announces Release Date For JOHN WICK: CHAPTER TWO
I'm thinking he's back. Lionsgate has finally announced the release date and official title for their highly anticipated sequel to 2014's John Wick, which starred Keanu Reeves in the lead.
"People keep asking if I'm back and I haven't really had an answer, but yeah, I'm thinking I'm back."
A few months after John Wick took the world by storm, Lionsgate announced production of a sequel with Keanu Reeves confirmed to return as the titular hero. Now, with the film nearing the end of its shoot, with only a schedule left to complete in Rome, Lionsgate has announced the film's official title and release date. The highly anticipated sequel, which is being directed by Chad Stahelski, who co-directed the original, will now be known as John Wick: Chapter Two and will arrive in theaters just in time for Valentines' Day on February 10, 2017.
In addition to Reeves, a few other members of the original cast will also be returning, namely Ian McShane, Bridget Moynahan, John Leguizamo, Lance Reddick, and Thomas Sadoski. Joining them for the ride are Common as the film's villain, Ruby Rose, Riccardo Scamarcio, Peter Stormare, and Laurence Fishburne, who will be re-uniting with his Matrix co-star after fourteen years.
Coincidentally, John Wick: Chapter Two will hit theaters the same weekend Deadpool did this year.
