Within five years, John Wick has already become one of the most popular action characters in film history. With two amazing films under his belt, the franchise has brought the action sensibilities audiences have been begging for. Due to intense world building, and an amazing portrayal from Keanu Reeves, it's clear this franchise ain't leaving anytime soon.

Following the gamechanging events of John Wick: Chapter 2, the character is now "excommunicado," with pretty much all the Continental's assassins out to get him. John Wick 3: Parabellum has already set itself up to be a fantastic trilogy capper, due to the outrageous groundwork/cliffhanger its predecessor left.

Involved in the shenanigans are both the Bowery King (Laurence Fishburne) and Winston (Ian McShane), who are pictured together in the new still Lionsgate has released.

Having not shared a scene in Chapter 2, the latest image from Parabellum teases an eventful encounter between the two. We'll have to wait to find out context of the still when the sequel hits next May.

If John Wick 3 is as great as the past two films, the John Wick trilogy will go down as one of the best action trilogies of all time.

They really need to get going on the third Raid movie, because these two franchises have produced some of the best action movies in the past couple of decades.

Morpheus and Wednesday. (Or Blackbeard if you fancy Pirates of the Caribbean)

An amazing portrayal from Keanu Reeves? I love the guy because he’s a genuinely nice bloke, but his potrayal has all the personality and nuance of a brick.

I just don’t get the love for these films, and know i must be missing something. The only quality I’ve enjoyed from them is the cinematography of the second one. In terms of dynamite modern action franchises I’d put the Equilizer miles ahead of John Wick. The first film felt like a parody of action films.

But then I’ve always liked action heroes with charisma and personality over the ones who do the whole ‘silent, look how tough I am’ thing. That’s why I’ll always take John McClane over Rambo, Lethal Weapon over Jason Bourne and a lobotomy over Fast and the Furious.

Of course the exception is The Punisher. That guy sells the pissed-off silent guy type.

@connorblaze - no other movie does gun play like John wick. I think that's the biggest draw. It's like interpretive dance with a hand gun

@Vigor - Have you seen Equilibrium? Guncatta?

@HeavyKevy - neither. Are they comparable to John Wick?

@Vigor - Don't pay attention to him. It was cool for a minute, but if you slow down Wick and make it less intricate, you have Equilibrium

@Pathogen - Why would you say don't pay attention to me man. I was merely suggesting a good movie. Nothing wrong with that is there?

I thought the second John Wick was good enough as a whole. But that ending was all kinds of bad-ass'
