After releasing her promotional tie-in single, "Hold My Hand," earlier this week, Lady Gaga has now debuted the official music video for her soon-to-be hit chartbuster, and it features stunning new footage from Top Gun: Maverick, which will see the return of Tom Cruise as Captain Pete "Maverick" Mitchell.

In addition to helming the film, Maverick director Joe Kosinski also directed the show-stopping video for the Academy Award- and 13x Grammy-winning megastar. The song plays during the end credits of the film.

Cruise is joined by original co-star Val Kilmer as Tom "Iceman" Kazansky, with an all-star supporting cast consisting of Jennifer Connelly as Penny Benjamin, Miles Teller as Lt. Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw, Jon Hamm as Vice Admiral Cyclone, Glen Powell as Hangman, Lewis Pullman as Bob, Ed Harris as Rear Admiral, Monica Barbaro as Phoenix, Charles Parnell as Rear Admiral Warlock, Danny Ramirez as Fanboy, Manny Jacinto as Fritz, Bashir Salahuddin as Coleman, Jay Ellis as Payback, Jake Picking in an undisclosed role, Raymond Lee in an undisclosed role, Lyliana Wray as Amelia Benjamin, Jean Louisa Kelly as Carole Bradshaw, Greg Davis as Coyote, and Bob Stephenson in an undisclosed role.

Check out Lady Gaga's "Hold My Hand" video below:

After more than thirty years of service as one of the Navy’s top aviators, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell (Tom Cruise) is where he belongs, pushing the envelope as a courageous test pilot and dodging the advancement in rank that would ground him. When he finds himself training a detachment of TOPGUN graduates for a specialized mission the likes of which no living pilot has ever seen, Maverick encounters Lt. Bradley Bradshaw (Miles Teller), call sign: “Rooster,” the son of Maverick’s late friend and Radar Intercept Officer Lt. Nick Bradshaw, aka “Goose.”

Facing an uncertain future and confronting the ghosts of his past, Maverick is drawn into a confrontation with his own deepest fears, culminating in a mission that demands the ultimate sacrifice from those who will be chosen to fly it.

Top Gun: Maverick jets into theaters on May 27!

I know it’s not related to this site, but it’s not like Top Gun belongs here… Hailee Steinfeld looking insanely beautiful at the Miami Grand Prix. I don’t even care, Marvel could just make a Kate Bishop film and just have it be two hours of Hailee looking at the camera and it’d be the best film of all time.

I never found the original one to be THAT good, but this one is shaping up pretty good, probably Cruise's best.

I'm certainly overthinking it, but anyone else find it weird that a military pilot's call sign is a flightless bird associated with cowardice?

Really hoping Kosinski knocks it out of the park with this one. He's been my dream director for a Green Lantern or Nova project since Tron: Legacy.

@TheHumanRocket - Kosinski would direct the shit out of either one of those projects. Oblivion gets crap for the storytelling, but those helicopter scenes were stunning!

The clip they showed of this movie before Doctor Strange made me not care about this movie even more.
