In Maigret, Chief Inspector Maigret and his team of maverick but loyal detectives, "Les Maigrets," solve a series of complex crimes in Paris.

However, Maigret’s unconventional methods and unique sense of justice put him at odds with his superiors and the judicial system he is supposed to represent. Maigret must outwit some of Paris’s most cunning and violent criminals, while dealing with his own troubled past.

As the series unfolds, Maigret moves far beyond the conventions of an action-thriller, becoming a more psychological and character-driven investigation where the performances shine – grounded and layered, perfectly attuned to the series’ sharp, human writing.

The result: a captivating intellectual and emotional ride as Chief Inspector Maigret and his team piece together a series of tightly woven mysteries, each one more gripping than the last.

Today, we're excited to debut an exclusive clip from this Sunday's season finale. Setting the stage for a tense confrontation, it's clear that the episode, titled "Maigret Comes Home - Part Two," is going to be a must-watch.

You can check out the clip, along with the description for the next episode of Maigret, below.

Tragedy strikes in Saint-Fiacre, shocking Maigret to the core. Maigret begins to peel back the deceit and corruption that ruined Sophie’s life. He enlists her son Maurice to expose the villains who have plundered the Saint-Fiacre estate for years. Back in Paris, Maigret’s conversations with the killer have unintended and terrifying consequences.

Based on the novels by Georges Simenon, Maigret stars Benjamin Wainwright, Stefanie Martini, Blake Harrison, Reda Elazouar, Kerrie Hayes, Shaniqua Okwok, Rob Kazinsky and Nathalie Armin.

Written by Patrick Harbinson and executive produced by Colin Callender, David Stern, Patrick Harbinson, Susanne Simpson and Hilary Strong, Maigret is a Playground co-production for MASTERPIECE in association with Banijay Entertainment, Windhover Films, and Georges Simenon Limited.

The season finale of Maigret airs Sunday, November 9 at 9/8c on MASTERPIECE Mystery! on PBS. The series is also available to stream via PBS and PBS MASTERPIECE on Prime Video. Maigret footage is courtesy of MASTERPIECE.
