A new Bond movie in 2011? Add that up with Spider-Man 4, Captain America, Green Lantern and Thor and its shaping up to be the greatest year ever!!!

She's a fool to turn down a role in the next film but I can live without seeing her average acting skills screwing up the movie!

I don't undersatnd why she'd turn down being a Bond-babe - it's right up her alley. She does the 'eye-candy' thing well. I can see why she'd turn down 'Wonder Woman' though, she might actually have to ACT!

Anyway, I think shes right. Bond girls have always been and always will be brainless eye candy. The one exception was Eva Green in Casino Royale..but then Olga whatsername reverted back to type. I hate Bond, always have. Casino Royale was good but Quantum Of Bollocks made me hate em again.

I don't know what the source is for this news, but based on the production team in charge of Bond, I have a hard time believing she was "offered" a role. Maybe she was encouraged to audition for one...

In any case, I agree with Upupandaway. THANK GOD!!!
Denise Richards was frigging awful, and I think with that bit of casting, everyone realized that Bond girls can't just be a pretty face. If they can't act, they pretty much ruin the movie. Bond girls can be brainless eye candy, but they still have to be able to deliver their brainless lines convincingly. Olga wasn't nearly as bad as Denise Richards.

Plus, Megan Fox looks pretty young. Even though Eva Green was also very young when they did Casino Royale, she was passable. Megan Fox still looks like she's in high school.

Let's not forget Jinx, Halle Berry's character played a nearly equal role to Bond in "Die Another Day" and I think there were talks of a spin off at one point too.

Megan Fox may have new management that are trying to curb her image away as just being hot eye candy and trying to get roles that exploit her "acting" more. Give her some staying power - then again I could be full of shit and severely reaching on that one.

Hey! Those are the roles that she's made for! Anything beyond that would be too challenging. In all seriousness, all MF bashing aside, if she were smart, she'd take it. Why? Because she needs to keep her face on screen and develop what little acting skills she has. Not to mention, keeping familiarity with general public. Not just stretching herself across a Harley on TF: ROTF. She tried doing a leading role and no one was ready for her yet.
