I've stopped watching Mel Gibson movies after his last few outbursts. At some point, the guy needs to be held accountable to the general public for being a complete jackass

The general public still lets perverts/pedophiles like Woody Allen and Roman Polanski continue to make films why can't Mel Gibson? He's a total badass as an actor and a true artist when it comes to his films!

RDJ was an alchoholic he did Iron Man and now hes a superstar!
Tom Cruise was viewed as a neurotic member of a cult he did Tropic Thunder and now hes cool again!
The list goes on and on! I say give Mel a chance and time will tell what happens!

Yeah, everyone is going to have their own level of tolerance, for this sort of thing. My problem with Mel is that it happened more than once. I gave him a pass the first time around, but when it happened again, it showed that he was unable and/or unwilling to change.

I haven't seen a movie by Mel since Apocalypto (when I gave him a pass the first time). If I do see Expendables 3, it will be for everyone else -- not for Mel.

Mel Gibson is also the bad guy in Machete Kills.
I guess since many people dislike him, being a bad guy will work.

Actually, many actors have bad attitudes but are great actors.
Mel Gibson may be one of them, can't deny his acting & directing skill.

Would love to see a broad sword-fight between William Wallace and He-Man.

And can't Sly give some cash to Kurt Russel so also can join the tango..?

I thought Mel was already signed for the next film? I know Mel said some really bad things but that does not change that he is an incredible actor & director. I do wish he could clean up his act & if he did people could forgive him.

Now onto Antonio being in the film too is great news. He is a great actor also. The cast for Expendibles 3 keeps growing so I wonder who will be added next.

Sad Jackie Chan isn't in it. But this seems like the perfect series for Nic Cage.

I couldn't care less what he said and that does not change anything for me...

We have all had a Rant at sometime in our life...

He's only human...

I'm not getting into the PC incorrect side to Gibson's rants.
But there is another side to it that to me really makes me lose respect for him to the degree it has effected my enjoyment of his past films.
That side is the fact that Gibson is a small minded, weak and crazed maniac, who is too weak to control himself.

He's a very pathetic man who turned his own mind into a broken down mess with years of drinking and unchecked lunacy.

When I see Gibson all I see is a pathetic and weak man. I don't even have to think about his actual words to have no respect for him.

If I haven't given up movies filled with Obamatards, I'm not giving up movies filled with a guy who had a mental breakdown.

First off, I am NOT black nor Jewish so his comments weren't directed at me personally, and I 100% understand if you are, and feel, uncomfortable watching or paying for his movies going forward. I understand that, and as a non-black non-jewish man, I was surprised and disturbed by what he said, but let's look at the big picture here...

Mel got in doo doo because some PRIVATE conversations were taped and broadcast to the world. Think about all that you've said in private, especially when drunk out of your head and talking to bitchy ex-wives.

So please tell me this, you who condemn Mel - When discussing a race, religion or creed, it's always positive? When discussing cultures, it's all about accepting everyone around you like they're a 'brother'?

If so, you've lived up to standards that sadly are much higher than mine, and it seems, Mel's. If so, please continue to push him down as you are much 'better' than he. But if you haven't... take a moment from your critiquing and 'blame game' and realize that we ALL make mistakes.

We live in... to be blunt, a sick society that allows and supports convicted rapists to work in mainstream media (Mike Tyson), and countless sports stars (K. Bryant / B. Roethlisberger among many others) who allegedly buy off rape charges and a large amount of people continue to support them.

But what Mel said in a moment of weakness, let me highlight that again, "SAID", is worse and less forgiving than rapists and all the other sick people who commit serious physical crimes to others and continue to be 'celebrated' in entertainment?

I'm seeing this for Harrison Ford and Wesley Snipes alone. Mel has insulted everyone from gays to blacks to jews. I'm tired of his drivel.

i REALLY wanna see a Mel Gibson-Bruce Willis star cross vehicle, one of these days...in the tradition of Sly-Arnie, Pacino-De Niro, Jackie Chan-Jet Li...etc.

and another one between Kevin Costner and Denzel Washington..OR between Denzel and Sam Jackson.
