On the heels of dropping the first trailer for The Covenant, Guy Ritchie is gearing up to start work on his next actioner, The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare, which Deadline is now reporting has added eight to its Henry Cavill-fronted ensemble cast.

The new additions are Alan Ritchson (Fast X; Reacher), Henry Golding (Crazy Rich Asians; The Gentlemen), Henrique Zaga (The New MutantsBeyond The Universe), Alex Pettyfer (Magic Mike; The Butler), Cary Elwes (Operation Fortune: Ruse de GuerreMission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One), Hero Fiennes Tiffin (After; The Woman King), Babs Olusanmokun (Dune; Star Trek: Strange New Worlds) and Til Schweiger (Inglourious Basterds; Atomic Blonde).

The eight join the aforementioned Cavill (Mission: Impossible - FalloutJustice League) and co-star Eiza González (Baby DriverGodzilla vs. Kong) in this World War II feature.

Paul Tamasy and Eric Johnson, Arash Amel, and Ritchie penned the script together, which is based on war correspondent and military historian Damien Lewis’ best-selling book of the same name.

The plot will tell the true story of "UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill and Ian Fleming’s secret WWII combat organization. The clandestine squad’s unconventional and ‘ungentlemanly’ fighting techniques against the Nazis helped change the course of the war and gave birth to the modern Black Ops unit."

Jerry Bruckheimer (Top Gun: MaverickPirates of the Caribbean) is also attached as a producer, alongside Richie.

Production is slated to begin on February 13 in Turkey.

@micvalpro - So a war movie has a predominantly male cast? That's unheard of

The guy needs a win. I hope its a good film...what's going on with Argylle, that's taking forever to come out.

Also anyone else see the latest Ritchie movie trailer..

Looked kinda generic for Guy Ritchie flick, but probably another solid performance from Jake.

@DocSpock - Yeah, well I guess it depends on what he looks like I guess. And look, I'm not one to give advice on someone else's personal life, but you might want to look into investing in a Superman suit or at least a Henry Cavill mask... jus sayin...

@DocSpock - FWIW, I legit have an adult sized Spidey onesy that I got from Target about a decade ago that I will wear loud and proud whenever the occasion calls for it (like it might when my wife and kids and I watch "BP:WF" up in our movie room tonight because why not?).

So far it hasn't come into play in the bedroom stuff. So far...

@DocSpock - True story: Spidey is my #1 comic character. Always has been since I was a kid. Back then I remember (I was like 6 or whatever) one time I was put in a "time-out" and had to sit in a chair facing corner for hours. At some point I was bitten by a spider and that made me think I had gained spider powers. I learned how to climb up doorways and such using my "spider powers" (or, ya know, physics). I can still do so to this day.

"Hello Mrs. DocSpock. How YOU doin'?" 😉

I think Rickie needs to stick to gangster films. Anything outside of that has been subpar.

Wonder if Ritchie's opinion on Marvel movies changed though. Remember he said something about them having no stakes.

Please stop casting Til Schweiger in potentially interesting movies. I made my peace with Inglorious Basterds, but it's enough now, thank you very much.
