As we first reported on ActioNewz.com, Paramount Home Entertainment has revealed that the edge-of-your-seat, non-stop thrill ride Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One is set to hit Digital platforms on October 10, 2023.

A 4K Ultra HD SteelBook, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD release is confirmed to then follow on October 31st.

Despite being a hit with critics, the movie was widely considered something of a box office disappointment after grossing $563.7 million. That may seem like a good number on paper, but with a reported $291 million budget, it's not enough to make Ethan Hunt's latest adventure a true hit.

That's a shame when the movie is so good, but on the plus side, it can now find a bigger audience in people's homes.

Those of you who purchase the film on Digital can go deeper into the mission with extensive, action-packed bonus content. We'll get an inside look at how Tom Cruise and the filmmaking team pulled off multiple breathtaking stunts, go behind the scenes of the exotic filming locations, delve into spectacular footage not seen in theatres, learn about the intricacies of the filmmaking process with director Christopher McQuarrie and editor Eddie Hamilton, and more!

Here's a full list of Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One's bonus features:

Commentary by director Christopher McQuarrie and editor Eddie Hamilton - McQuarrie and Hamilton take viewers through each compelling scene with in-depth commentary.
Abu Dhabi - Explore the exotic filming locations in the desert and at the international airport and discover how each thrilling sequence was shot.
Rome - Take a behind-the-scenes look at the thrilling car chase through Italy's historic capital, as Tom Cruise's driving skills are pushed to the limit while handcuffed to Hayley Atwell!
Venice - See the breathtaking city of Venice as it's never been shown on film.  Plus, witness the cast's dedication and commitment to their training as they prepare to get "Mission Ready."
Freefall - An extended behind-the-scenes look at one of the biggest stunts in cinema history.  Watch never-before-seen footage of the rigorous training as Tom launches a motorcycle off a cliff.
Speed Flying - Join Tom and the crew as they explain the various training techniques involved in pulling off the dangerous speed flying stunts in the film.
Train - See how the climactic train sequence was captured on film.  From building an actual train from scratch to crashing it using practical effects, you don't want to miss this!
Deleted Shots Montage - Director Christopher McQuarrie and editor Eddie Hamilton share some of the breathtaking, never-before-seen footage that didn't make the final film.
•Editorial Featurette: The Sevastopol - Director Christopher McQuarrie and editor Eddie Hamilton take viewers through the intense opening scene.

In Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his IMF team embark on their most dangerous mission yet: To track down a terrifying new weapon that threatens all of humanity before it falls into the wrong hands. With the fate of the world at stake, a deadly race around the globe begins.

Confronted by a mysterious, all-powerful enemy, Ethan is forced to consider that nothing can matter more than his mission - not even the lives of those he cares about most.

Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part Two is currently set to be released in theaters on June 28, 2024, though it may be delayed as a result of the ongoing Hollywood strikes.

This is a Day1 buy for me. The movie was fantastic and wish it made more at the BO, but Oppenhemier killed it (see what i did there... ill see myself out now) But seriously, it was amazing and i can't wait for part 2

Can't wait to watch this again! Really enjoyed Vanessa Kirby in this one too, especially her role in the finale (without getting into spoilers).

This movie was the movie of the summer for me. I'm surprised it didn't do better in the theaters. It was one of the best MI movies.

@WEAPONXOXOXO - people are tired of sequels and it went against Oppenheimer and barbie, probably would have done way better if it was released a month earlier or later

"with a reported $291 million budget"

Well, there is the mistake, maybe next time they should try to spend their money better and maybe not have the movie being 2h42min...

Hollywood is going crazy with budgets. They need to calm down and be more realistic.

@Usernametaken - COVID inflated the budget.

But dense gonna remain dense, I guess.

@kylo0607 - I worked during covid, yes it inflated our budgets, but going from an 180 million budget for fallout to a 291 million budget for dead reckoning is just bullshit.

@Usernametaken - Most general folks budgets went down during Covid; making money more the issue. But either way, you weren’t making a globe-trotting Tom Cruise Hollywood blockbuster with countless cast and crew to support. The budget is still way too intense, but you are trying to way downplay why their budget skyrocketed.

I LOVED this movie! I'm all-in for a Day-1 purchase.

@JayLemle - ... and hopefully, these budgets can shrink down some. I can't remember us having this much transparency into budgets, and scrutiny of what a movie's take-in is, before the Pandemic.

I'll probably wait until after Part 2 for the inevitable 8 movie box set. Before 8 drops though, I'll definitely give this one (and the other six) a rewatch for sure

Why is there no blu ray in the 4k one?
