In "Red Dawn," an American city awakens to the surreal sight of foreign paratroopers dropping from the sky – shockingly, the U.S. has been invaded and their hometown is the initial target. Quickly and without warning, the citizens find themselves prisoners and their town under enemy occupation. Determined to fight back, a group of young patriots seek refuge in the surrounding woods, training and reorganizing themselves into a guerilla group of fighters. Taking inspiration from their high school mascot, they call themselves the Wolverines, banding together to protect one another, liberate their town from its captors, and take back their freedom.

I know a lot of people are not rushing to the movie theaters to see remakes/reboots these days, but Red Dawn looks like a really good remake. I hope Red Dawn does well at the box office, but remakes/reboots flop.

I'm just not feeling it. Russia was a believable threat, the North Koreans invading a town is just not believable. It just seems like someone played Homefront and said hey I know, lets use THIS as a remake to Red Dawn!

They should have gone with China. China is believable. The North Koreans invading Spokane? Yeah, not feeling it.

@2gold, you are aware that the man who wrote the original story for Red Dawn is the same guy who wrote the story line for Homefront, right?

The first one was good because it was a straight up invasion movie and how it affected a bunch of in over their heads kids. This one looks like they added some rediculous over the top sub plot....I hope not.

They made this movie like 2 years ago and the Chinese were going to be the enemies. But fear or their negative reaction made the film makers digitally make the soldiers north Korean
