This Circus angle and lack of mask bother me the most other then that I will give this a chance. At 0.26-0.27 is the money shot.

AlReg, I like the Circus angle, as it's where he learns his skills.Think of the heroes who have been involved with the circus or were trained there.Robin, Hawkeye and Nightcrawler.He also gets his mask during the second episode.

Better with the mask but the circus angle bothers me because it looks like they want some realism since The Cape is a comic book character and not his own creation but a circus act clashes with that in my opinion.

The Executive Producer said he wants it to be realistic but the circus guys don't fit that.

Well they said that's part of the realism.The circus guys don't have any special powers.They use tricks to pull off their show, which he will learn to become a hero.I don't think it lessens the realism of the show.

Like that scene where he disappears in a puff of smoke.That's one of Max's illusions that he's use as The Cape.I think it's a cool way to approach it.The illusion of superpowers when there really aren't any.
