Skyfall production is well underway and nobody knows just who exactly actor Ralph Fiennes is playing. He sat down with
Total Film and discussed his new role in James Bond's return to the silver screen, and was less than forthcoming with his answer. When asked just who it is he is playing Fienees responded,
"I’m afraid that all I can tell you is I’m a government agent." When pushed a little further regarding the rumors that have been swirling that he is Blofeld he shrugged it off by saying,
"I can’t say anything. Well, I can tell you I think the script is very good indeed, and I think the character relationships are very well drawn and that it’s witty and funny – and yes, it has all the things that Bond fans want, which is action and events and locations.
Fiennes was also asked if this portrayal of James Bond would be as hard edged as
Casino Royale,
"Oh yes, this is hard-edged Bond," he teased. So it looks like based on what we have heard from Mr. Fiennes that James Bond could be kicking ass and taking names in Skyfall, but we will just have to wait and find out.
Skyfall stars Daniel Craig, Judi Dench, Javier Bardem, Bérénice Marlohe, Ben Whishaw, Ralph Fiennes, and will be released on November 9, 2012.
