ROAD HOUSE: Jake Gyllenhaal Shows Off Insane New Physique As He Kicks Serious Ass In New Set Videos - SPOILERS

If you were on Twitter last night, you may have seen Jake Gyllenhaal trending, as he filmed scenes for his upcoming Road House remake, which promises to see him push himself further than ever before!

Last night, before UFC 285 got going, Academy Award-nominee Jake Gyllenhaal (Spider-Man: Far From HomeNightcrawler) stepped into the octagon to film new scenes for his upcoming Road House remake, showing off his insane new physique and kicking some serious ass.

Doug Liman (Edge of Tomorrow; The Bourne Identity) directs the upcoming actioner for Amazon Studios, where Gyllenhaal plays Elwood Dalton, an ex-UFC fighter who ends up working at a roadhouse in the Florida Keys, where things are not exactly what they seem.

We'll issue a slight spoiler alert here, but based on the photos and videos below, we can probably safely assume these scenes - which also featured former UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor, UFC president Dana White, and play-by-play announcer Jon Anik - are from the beginning of the film, before something bad obviously happens that derails Dalton's UFC career and sends him to the eponymous roadhouse.

In addition to Gyllenhaal, the cast features Daniela Melchior, Billy Magnussen, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Lukas Gage, Hannah Love Lanier, Travis Van Winkle, B. K. Cannon, Arturo Castro, Dominique Columbus, Beau Knapp, Bob Menery, Conor McGregor, Joaquim de Almeida, Darren Barnet, Kevin Carroll, J. D. Pardo, Jay Hieron, Dana White, and Jon Anik.

No release date has been set, but filming has been ongoing since last August, so this was likely the final leg of the schedule. However, whether it makes it to the streamer or to theaters before the end of the year remains to be seen.

@dracula - I think they’re making it more realistic, 80s cheese was apart of the originals charm. You can’t exactly translate 80s cheese to a modern retelling of a story.

Having him be a retired/disgraced mix martial artist trying to get by could work in a fresh retelling imo.

No [frick]ing way!? I’ve been wanting a remake of this ever since I saw the original as a kid!

Oh wait no I didn’t and neither did anyone else. Does Hollywood really think audiences are going to clamor to this?

Ima try Ozempic out. Get all this fat off. I workout but I have such a sedentary job that the majority of my day is still way too little calories being burned. I want to look like this guy and Majors, now Mahors actually got super swoll, yes he’s Kang, not too necessary for that role, fights Creed, very necessary, but is also a bodybuilder in some third film. More than necessary: dude went above and beyond. Not just ripped! Nah his arms are frikkin huge. Lot o lean mass. That’s my goal. Sedentary jobs. The estrogen of the misters.

feel like gyllenhaal just kind of gave up on doing serious/smaller movies after mysterio, so they might as well cast him as the dcu batman. seems like he's at a point where he loves doing schlockier stuff, so i can see him sticking around for the 10 year plan

Are they really moving forward with this crap?
Also, why is he getting jacked? Dalton's joke was that he was short and skinny, you never saw him coming.

Legitimately impressive physique. He's always had great abs. This movie though - WHY?

Feels like this can be an original movie just as easily. Doesn't need to be reboot.

Anyway, that's an impressive physique.
