If you were a fan of director Prashanth Neel's K.G.F: Chapter 1 and K.G.F: Chapter 2 in recent years, then get ready for his biggest film yet this Christmas, the gangster actioner Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, which stars the iconic Prabhas (Baahubali: The BeginningBaahubali 2: The Conclusion) in dual roles as Salaar and Deva.

The synopsis reads, "A gang leader makes a promise to a dying friend by taking on other criminal gangs."

Since its launch over the weekend, the trailer has already amassed over 135 million views across all languages and has been trending at No. 1 for three days.

Salaar: Part 1 is actually one of two major Indian films set to open ahead of the extended Christmas holiday weekend, as it's scheduled to open in North America just a day after Rajkumar Hirani's comedy-drama Dunki, which stars Bollywood legend Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role. While both films are set for a box office showdown of epic proportions over the weekend, there's plenty of reason to believe both films will ultimately end up performing exceedingly well due to the vastly different subject matters. Which one comes out on top, however, remains to be seen.

In addition to Prabhas, the supporting cast features Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha, Tinnu Anand, Easwari Rao, Sriya Reddy, Ramachandra Raju, Madhu Guruswamy, John Vijay, Saptagiri, Prudhvi Raj, Jhansi, Mime Gopi, and Simrat Kaur.

Salaar: Part 1 hits theaters on December 22, and will be playing at over 800+ locations in top markets across North America. It will be available in five languages - Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam - and will feature English subtitles.

Why do they write articles for the "sister sites" and then like 2 or 3 days later post it on here, the main site? Like they just posted an I am Legend article on the Gazette and it wont be on here until like tomorrow or something.

oh my god! At last! The last thing I remember is that this movie was a direct adaptation from the Dark Horse Comic in the early 90s with the same name right, Rohan?

I might give this a try.

Unless you have to watch it in subtitles, in which case forget it.

Kinda annoying me that indian movies are getting focus on here while other (more relevant stuff) is relegated to the sister sites (like the Godzilla Minus One BO performance).

I get that there are a lot of Indian users and editors that want to focus their film industry by force but it's really not that relevant. At least not as relevant as some content on the sister sites.

Maybe make your own site for Bollywood movies? You have relegated a lot of other material to sister sites.
