SKYSCRAPER Official Trailer Sees A One-Legged Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson Attempt To Save The Day

Dwayne Johnson is once again back to save the day, and this time he's doing it with one leg atop the world's tallest, safest building which is suddenly set ablaze. Check out the trailer for Skyscraper.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is just about everywhere these days, including the top of a skyscraper in Universal Pictures' upcoming film appropriately titled Skyscraper

The first official trailer for the movie debuted during the Super Bowl, but was overshadowed by the likes of Solo: A Star Wars Story,  Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, and Avengers: Infinity War. So in case you missed it, here is the first full trailer for Skyscraper, an upcoming action-flick in which Dwayne Johnson finds himself attempting to save the day once again.

Global icon Dwayne Johnson leads the cast of Legendary’s Skyscraper as former FBI Hostage Rescue Team leader and U.S. war veteran Will Sawyer, who now assesses security for skyscrapers. On assignment in China he finds the tallest, safest building in the world suddenly ablaze, and he’s been framed for it. A wanted man on the run, Will must find those responsible, clear his name and somehow rescue his family who is trapped inside the building...above the fire line.

Skyscraper, which in a weird way feels like "one-legged Die Hard," hits theaters this summer.

I’m so confused on what this movie is aiming to be and who it’s trying to appeal to. Like an 80s action movie, a disaster film, or like a war hero story?

@MrNegative - I don't see a reason why those things can't go together. None of them is inherently in conflict with the other. The way hero aspect sounds like just part of his character and the physical and emotional limitations he has to overcome to save his family. The more shit you throw at a character, the more satisfying it is when he is able to win at the end. It's a story telling device.

It's nice seeing Neve Campbell in a movie again.

And that's about it for positives.

@MUTO123 - I wouldn't mind seeing a Scream 5.

@Toecutter - I'd prefer if they don't. 4 was a decent ending to the series. I don't really see what else they could do with a 5th movie.

Don't want to sound like a dick, but what does this have to do with CBM's?

@Toecutter - Ummm...the first trailer premiered alongside a Super Hero Movie? To be honest, it really doesn't, but that's never stopped the editors on the site.

This looks like Dwayne watched The Towering Inferno and said : Hey let's make it about me (AGAIN) and a fake leg. No thanks Dwayne, i rather rewatch the Die Hard movies.

You can't be "on the run" if you only have one leg.
