Charlies Angels was first given the greenlight by ABC over a year ago to deliver a pilot that would bring the once popular show back to our screens.
At first, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles creator Josh Friedman was attached to develop the project - but recent news reports ABC has now handed the show over to "Smallville" creators Al Gough and Miles Millar.
The show will begin shooting early next year in Miami and ABC are currently searching for actresses to play the 'Angels.'
Original series producer Leonard Goldberg is producing along with star of the big screen adaptation Drew Barrymore.

Smallville finishes at the end of its current season in 2011.
