The Hollywood Reporter has word that Sony Pictures has agreed to distribute The Raid: Berandal for a US theatrical release. The film will pickup a mere two hours after the first ended and will follow "Rama (Iko Uwais) as he goes undercover and infiltrates the ranks of a ruthless Jakarta crime syndicate in order to protect his family and uncover the corruption in his own police force." Director Gareth Evans has also previously confirmed that even though the sequel picks up just two hours after the first installment, a span of four years will be covered in the film. A teaser trailer offering our first look at the film will be premiering very shortly.
