Uwe Boll may be known for many things, but being a good director is not one of them. Perhaps showing a self-awareness of his own mistrials, the Director of Postal, Bloodrayne, and Alone In The Dark has announced that since opening his Vancouver-based restaurant, Bauhaus; he finally has more than $5 in his bank account would like to return to filmmaking for one last film: Rampage 3. (Editor's Note: Apparently not the same Rampage I was thinking of)
As someone who has been to Bauhaus, I fancy myself an expert in saying that just like his films, the food is overpriced and fails to deliver. So maybe it's worth returning to the Director's chair? Probably not; considering his complete breakdown previously. Perhaps he's just not ready to admit he's a terrible fimmaker.
So if you've seen Rampage and Rampage 2 apologies for my ignorance but I have no clue what happened in those films. Probably nothing worth typing about. If I'm wrong, feel free to let me know in the comments.
The Press Release for Rampage 3: No Mercy reads as follows:
Uwe Boll announces that he is directing his last movie: the thrilling conclusion of the trilogy "Rampage 3: No Mercy" now in production in British Columbia & Washington D.C.
Boll plans to focus on his co-producing and global distribution company Event Film and his highly-praised fine dining venture Bauhaus Restaurant in Vancouver.
For immediate release: Vancouver, BC January 6th, 2015 - Amidst his highly-praised venture into the fine dining scene by opening Bauhaus Restaurant, acclaimed director Uwe Boll has not put down the movie camera. Uwe is currently on location in beautiful British Colombia (Langley and Maple Ridge) and Washington, D.C. to film the anticipated Rampage 3: No Mercy during the first weeks in January...
In addition, as many of his fans know, Uwe's other passion is his newly opened and universally praised Bauhaus Restaurant located in the trendy Gastown district of Vancouver. Opened for less than a year, Bauhaus is already at the cutting edge of fine dining, delivering innovative techniques, fresh flavours, and exceptional service to downtown Vancouver. The menu, designed and prepared by world-renowned Michelin Star chef Stefan Hartmann, reflects a contemporary approach to traditional German cuisine and brings a new style of dining to Canada's west coast.
So after failing on Kickstarter multiple times and swearing at people for not supporting his film; he's seemingly made enough money from his overpriced restaurant to afford Rampage 3.
Will Rampage 3 be any good? Will Uwe Boll ever shut up? The answer the both those questions is 'No' but you know you can keep tuning in to CBM for more news.
