Sucker Punch is an epic action fantasy that takes us into the vivid imagination of a young girl whose dream world provides the ultimate escape from her darker reality. Unrestrained by the boundaries of time and place, she is free to go where her mind takes her, and her incredible adventures blur the lines between what’s real and what is imaginary.

She has been locked away against her will, but Babydoll has not lost her will to survive. Determined to fight for her freedom, she urges four other young girls—the reluctant Sweet Pea, the outspoken Rocket, the street-smart Blondie and the fiercely loyal Amber—to band together and try to escape a terrible fate at the hands of their captors, Blue and Madam Gorski, before the mysterious High Roller comes for Babydoll.

Led by Babydoll, the girls engage in fantastical warfare against everything from samurais to serpents, with a virtual arsenal at their disposal. Together, they must decide what they are willing to sacrifice in order to stay alive. But with the help of a Wise Man, their unbelievable journey—if they succeed—will set them free.

Sucker Punch is set to be released on March 25 in the US, and April 1 in the UK!

@xXkryptoniteXx while agree with most of what you said, I disagree with the whole "oscar contender" having a good story, yes definitely will be stylised and action packed movie I don't see what any one else was expecting its snyder after all. But a good plot also entertain's people. But I get what you mean though.

This is a guess but pretty sure one of the main reason snyder got picked over pther directors like aronofsky for the superman movie was because the dude wouldn't try and change the story Goyer and Nolan came up with.

Just watched Sucker Punch last night and loved it! Hope to see a director's cut and hear a commentary soon, and looking forward to his take on Superman.

@Neos

Really? So we just ignore 300 and The Watchmen? Sucker Punch was not bad at all by the way... the only "bad" thing about the movie was the fact that such huge cuts were made, and it was quite obvious to anyone who was paying attention.

The movie had multiple themes/messages/history behind all of the awesome effects and battles. So many reviewers chose not to see them and dismiss the movie as juvenile, which is a damn shame.
