Bad cbms for me are movies like bvs, ss, jl, ww84, green lanteen and the such.

@regularmovieguy - No, people just need to stop relying on RT to tell them what to think about a movie. And those critics need to have their eyes adjusted, because ranking this lower than some of the generic flicks Marvel has churned out before is absurd.

well I'd pick it apart more but it was very unmemorable. And I don't need a lot of action to drive a movie, I'd rather a movie be artistic and great than a tentpole cgi fest. This was neither, for me. Just blah, boring.

She's so desperate to try and get more positive responses. Now it's "well let's watch it again but it's your own experience." We already had our own experiences with it, and it was an overcomplicated boring mess. Why wasn't this a miniseries? Honestly most of the issues might have been resolved by just letting it develop over a 6 episode disney+ show.

@TheNZNatural - first of all, so what if I like a movie for doing the kind of things I liked? And no, I wasn't predisposed to liking it. I hated the mcu Spiderman movies, and even after hearing it was a multiverse story with the previous spidermen, I still thought that wasn't a great direction to take things. No way home proved me wrong.

Also, never said anything about it being bad because it's different than other marvel movies. Mostly because I'm not really a fan of the mcu as a whole. I do agree the mcu needed to change, and I applaud eternals for trying something new at least. But just doing something different doesn't automatically make it good. Eternals sucks because it's a terrible movie. Not because it's an atypical marvel movie.

It’s funny how directors like Zhao take the heat for duds like this but Feige gets all the praise for wins like No Way Home and not the actual director LOL!

@Ocelot - I agree with your general point (except for the base concept of Eternals being a dud, I thought it was great), but IMO Watts deserves minimal praise for NWH. His directing is bland, generic, forgettable. NWH is memorable because it managed to pull in all these different universes, and that's all on Fiege.

I fell sleep midway through it. Could be because my couch is really comfortable or more likely it’s that the movie is just that bad.

@Supercat6376 - First time I watched it I fell asleep in between the England battle and forest battle, and the second time, I caught myself falling asleep on the same exact part. That is to say the gathering of the eternals. It’s a very comfortable part to sleep through, I recommend some warm cookies and a nice tortilla print blanket, a beanie with the cute little fuzzy thing on top, You don’t even need those things to cover your eyes for sleeping. Zonk right out for a little nap. And then the fighting starts again and you’re good to go, refreshed
