SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME Receives Expected PG-13 Rating; Tom Holland Shares Tobey Maguire Meme

Surprising not a single soul, Spider-Man: No Way Home has been officially rated PG-13, and the reasons why probably won't shock you too much, either!

Like its predecessors, the third instalment in director Jon Watts' trilogy will include "sequences of action/violence, some language, and brief suggestive comments." This is a variation of pretty much every Marvel Studios movie's rating description, and likely means we'll hear a "shit" or two along with a couple of borderline rude jokes or some innuendo.

The mention of "action/violence" is also pretty standard, although the fact that there's no "intense" in there may suggest that things aren't going to get quite as dark for the webhead as we've been led to believe.

In related news, star Tom Holland has reacted to the announcement that tickets are now on sale by sharing a meme with a shot of Tobey Maguire's Peter Parker in his original homemade costume to his Instagram stories. Anyone would think he posted a shot of Maguire from No Way Home based on the fan reaction, but it does indicate that the actor is at least beginning to have a bit of fun with the persistent rumors doing the rounds.

Check out the image along with a new still from Fandango below.

"For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero's identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse."

The movie also stars Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Benedict Cumberbatch, Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, Marisa Tomei, J. B. Smoove, Benedict Wong, and J.K. Simmons. Spider-Man: No Way Home arrives in U.S. on December 17 and in the UK on December 15.
