HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON: THE HIDDEN WORLD Trailer Promises An Emotional End To The Trilogy

The brand new trailer for the third and (supposedly) last How To Train Your Dragon movie has been released, and it teases an exciting, heartfelt final installment in the popular animated franchise.

In The Hidden World, Toothless will discover a female Night Fury (well, a Light Fury) and sets about doing everything he can to impress her. Meanwhile, Hiccup concentrates on maintaining his viking/dragon utopia along with Astrid.

Unfortunately for them, there's always a dragon-hating nutjob out there to screw things up, and this time he's voiced by Amadeus star F. Murray Abraham.

Check out the new trailer below and let us know what you think.

Now chief and ruler of Berk alongside Astrid, Hiccup has created a gloriously chaotic dragon utopia. When the sudden appearance of a female Light Fury coincides with the darkest threat their village has ever faced, Hiccup and Toothless must leave the only home they’ve known and journey to a hidden world thought only to exist in myth. As their true destines are revealed, dragon and rider will fight together—to the very ends of the Earth—to protect everything they’ve grown to treasure.

How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World opens in theaters on February 22, 2019.

This has the most potential to knock off toy story as my favourite animated trilogy. Both the movies before it were amazing.

I like when studios actually age their animated characters over a series, it really makes it feel very lived in over time.

Both films were really good so I'm excited for this one. Dreamworks has really been putting out sloppy films for a while so it'll be good if Dragons can finish strong.

@MrDandy - this, Rise of the Guardians and Megamind is better than anything Disney has put out since Princess and Frog. Moana maybe co es close to them.

@Supafairy - Rise of the Guardians??? HAHAHAHAHA!

Megamind is fun but it's the usual ADHD fueled pop culture referencing model they've been deploying in mass since Shriek became popular.

The Dragons franchise is on a whole different level and has been great, but that's one franchise while the Disney Revival has been killing it across the board. Wreck it Ralph, 2011 Winnie the Pooh, Tangled, Princess and the Frog, Zootopia, Big Hero Six, Moana and even Frozen as overplayed and overexposed as it became. Hell, since Toy Story 3, with exception to Inside Out and Coco, Disney Animation Studio has been more consistently good than even Pixar, which has become a sequel machine.

@MrDandy - I'll give you Wreck it Ralph, forgot that was Disney. The rest aren't really memorable to me and they were ok for one watch (with the exception of Moana).

And I liked Rise of the Guardians, funny thing about personal preference, eh?

The first film was a classic, while the second was... rather forgettable, honestly. We’ll see if this one does better.

Meh.

All the dragon designs besides Toothless are pretty bad in each movie.

They apparently pushed this film back a few years to make sure it was as good as it could be, hopefully it lives up to the first two.
Could be one of my favorite trilogies of all time

I don't see what the big deal is with these movies. They are okay to me. I'll still watch this one though.

Surely, by this point, all interested parties should know how to train their dragon.
