Jeph Loeb's facebook page taken down amid Ultimate Spider-man Cartoon complains

It seems that Jeph Loeb's facebook page was taken down after it was swarmed with Ultimate Spider-man Cartoon complains.

After its April debut, Ultimate Spider-man cartoon was generally hated by the fans. In fact the fans hated so much that they started sending their complains to the show runners, mainly Jeph Loeb's facebook page (Was located here).

The complains started few weeks ago and we checked on Monday and were surprised that number of complains was in the thousands, and two days later the Jeph Loeb facebook page was taken down.

Jeph Loeb was not the only person who received the criticism, both Joe Quesada's twitter and Man of action facebook page received their share of fan hate, but it was Jeph Loeb who had received the most.

Whether this means that Marvel has gotten the message and chose to ignore it or not remains to be seen. But this is definitely a first in the history of recent TV series where fans get to voice their criticism directly to the show producers.

Wow. Angry fanboys. My 9 year old son loves this show. So because some adults hate it they're going to end up canceling it. Amazing!! (pun not intended). Surely there is room for this show for kids and other animated shows for everyone. I LOVE comics but some guys take these characters waaaay too seriously!

strugler, not to sound all high and mighty, but you do seem to have supported a fair share of this hate towards all three guys with reports like this and constant tweets complaining to those three...

I wasn't too high on the show myself, but it is getting better and better. It usually takes a little while for a new show to "find its feet" so to speak...

I think alot of the hate has to do with avengers getting cancled after this season for this spiderman plays a part to. The show is not that bad even tho it could be better. But they should not cancel the avengers so they can base it off of spidermans show. It should be the other way around.

It's not as good as previous outings, but any new Spider-Man cartoon has a lot it has to live up to with Spectacular and the 90's series in the rear view. I'm not surprised many fans of those shows don't care for this series, but I am surprised by the level of vocalization. Honestly, I think they should have branded this show as a new Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends instead of Ultimate Spider-Man. The 'Ultimate' moniker only communicates something to actual comic fans, who then feel betrayed by the tone of the series. But by calling it Spider-Man and His Amazings Friends everyone would understand why the series includes other 'heroes' and the more juvenile tone.

its the same thing i say to everyone who compains on this site. Its not marketed to our demographic. My 7 year old son loves this show, its one of his favorites, next to avengers emh. To complain about this show to me is like complaining about super hero friends, just dumb. That doesn't mean that i wouldn't love to see a more mature spider-man comic as well, that would be very nice.

Good, Loeb needs a wake up call, as does Disney in regards to Joe Q's posse of crappy writer friends (like Axel Alonso, Loeb, and a few others) that ruined the comics, and now are promoted ruining the animated and live action media. Make Joss Whedon the new Marvel god.

Are you surprised by this? Your previous post basically begged your readers to complain to Quesada, Bendis, Loeb, and MoA on their facebook. Especially with the narrative you've been building in your "news" posts about USM and Jeph Loeb being the cause of the Avengers cartoon cancellation, while always forgetting to report the Avengers' poor ratings and ending on the standard 52 episode limit.

And no, this isn't the first time fans have complained to creators. This happens all the time. It's easier now with facebook and twitter, but fans have always found ways to complain about shows they didn't like--justifiable or not.

Well Musashi seeing how Marvel has generally managed to put out good Spider-man cartoons in the past (MTV Spider-man excluded, ugh) without fan complaints and thefact that absolutely nothing was wrong with Spectacular Spider-man which was pleasing to both adult and kid Spidey fans. Was taken away for this Teen Titans Meets Darkwing Duck rendition of Spider-man is a massive f.u.ck up and you are not a intelligent enough Spider-man fan to realize this.

And anyone with a brain will realize that the fact Disney acquired Marvel is the reason we have this bastardized kiddy version of Spider-man. Worked for the Electric Company but not for todays "TRUE" comic book fan. NUFF SAID

Combine Ultimate Spider-man's animation (minus the inflated head Bullshit, and other words flying, tears coming out through his eyes dumb shit we have seen in Ultimate, Yeah just shut up Musashi more i think about it.......anyway add Ultimate animation with Spectaculars story lines and plot and VOICE actors ...and you have a winner !!!

Yeah some people can just be dicks but lets say you had a car. Its a shiny new hot rod. It's awesome. Then you wake up one morning to find that it is gone. And someone has left a pink tricycle in its place. And you're like, 'wtf' and then a stranger walks up and says, 'Don't worry.' And some little kids ride your pink tricycle away as the stranger continues, 'Kids love it.'

That is what happened to Spider-Man and where your into cars, comics, cartoons or whatever, it doesn't change the fact that Spider-Man fans everywhere just got screwed.
