Love and Monsters premieres at home and in select theaters on October 16th from Paramount Pictures, and takes place seven years after the "Monsterpocalypse." Humanity has been forced to hide underground, but Joel (Dylan O'Brien) decides to embark on a dangerous mission to reunite with his high school girlfriend Aimee (Jessica Henwick) after reconnecting with her over the radio. However, with dangerous monsters standing in his way, their reunion isn't going to be an easy one.
Michael Rooker (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2) and Ariana Greenblatt (Avengers: Infinity War) are also part of the cast, and we recently caught up with the latter to discuss her role in the movie.
We'll bring you the full interview tomorrow, but after playing the young Velma in Scoob!, we asked the actress about the recent news she will star in The Boss Baby: Family Business alongside Alec Baldwin, James Marsden, Amy Sedaris, Eva Longoria, Jimmy Kimmel, Lisa Kudrow, and Jeff Goldblum.
"I'm so excited," Greenblatt said of the project which is set to be released next year. "I've never done any real voiceover work other than Velma in Scoob, so I'm super excited. The cast is amazing and I'm so happy to be part of such a cool movie. Even before I auditioned for the role, that was one of my favourite animated movies, so for to be able to be part of the second movie is so cool, and I'm so happy and it's really awesome. It's something I've never done before, so it's really exciting. Also, I get to sing in it, which I've never done before, so I hope that's great."
One name that really stands out in that impressive ensemble is Jurassic World: Dominion star Jeff Goldblum and, as you might expect, the actress is excited to work with him on the project. "I love Jeff Goldblum, so me hearing he was part of the movie, I was just blown away. I was like, 'No way!'"
The first Boss Baby movie was a hit, so this follow-up should be worth keeping a close eye on. For now, you can see Greenblatt in Love and Monsters, and we have an exclusive clip from that below:
