Fans of the original '80s Voltron series had to be expecting this to happen but with Sven..er Shiro surviving season 1, some held out hope that the Netflix remake would be heading down a different path. Judging by the ominous season 2 teaser, that doesn't appear to be the case.

Back in July, it was
confirmed that season 2 would be premiering late-2016. Perhaps we'll receive an exact date during NYCC later this week?
