Sausage Party is a movie in many words. It is Rated "R", it is not for children despite the use of talking food, it is a parody of several animated films from Disney, Pixar, Dreamworks & many more family friendly animated movies, but most importanly. It's done by Seth Rogen.
Yes, the mastermind behind, Neighbors, This is the End, Superbad, Pineapple Express and almost The Interview takes a foray in Animated feature films. But not one you would be expecting, oh no. This movie was in development for almost 10 years as Rogen wanna make a film that's pretty much Toy Story/Secret Life of Pets but in the adult manner with talking food. Talking food that swears, smokes weed and even Rebel on us Humans. Let's be honest about it. Deadpool paved way for the R rating more and Sausage Party looks like it for animated movies too, and you know what? It's Hilariously fantastic.
After eight years of development, Seth Rogen & his writing partner Evan Goldberg help made this movie into a reality with the help of the folks from Sony, their production company and the movie's Directors Conrad Vernon & Greg Tiernan, both of which had worked on family features now tackling an R rated Animated movie.
The story of Sausage Party tells about a Sausage being hand picked by a human in belief he will enter a paradise but learns that humans eat food, killing them one by one. Upon the horrible truth, the Sausage & his friends decides the rebel on the human race with the help of a Feminie Hygiene product. Yup, this is pretty much hilarity in it's own right.
I easily enough watched the Red Band trailer many times and it proves that Animated movies can easily reach R rating with the right marketing of course. And to be Frank (No pun Intended), I honestly feel bad of the Concord movie theater that showed the Red Band Trailer to the screening of Finding Dory. But that wont stop me from seeing the Movie. In conclusion, Sausage Party is eyed to be the Deadpool of Animated movies currently sitting on 100% on RT and with only a week left, it's gonna be nothing short of hilarious.
So get ready for what is deemed to be, Animated movie of the Year.
