Principal photography has now finished on Robert Rodriguez' Alita: Battle Angel, but we have one more casting announcement for you guys.

According to EW, Michelle Rodriguez (Avatar, Resident Evil, the Fast and Furious movies) will appear in the movie alongside previously confirmed cast members Rosa Salazar, Jennifer Connelly, Jackie Earle Haley, Christoph Waltz, Ed Skrein, Mahershala Ali, and Keean Johnson.

Rodrieguez will play a cyborg character named Gelda, who does appear in the original manga, but doesn't really have a whole lot to do with Alita's arc. Perhaps that'll be altered for the purposes of the film, however.

Alita: Battle Angel is expected to hit theaters on July 20, 2018.

@RancidBane - This is the same hypocrit that said that Black People should only play Black Hero's and stop taking White Peoples Hero's. However she has no qualms with taking an role that was created Asian. Can't stand this stupid B*tch.

@kalisto2010 - cool it with the hate man. The character is a cyborg race bending is probably gonna be ok. At least it isn't a white actress. Progress nonetheless.
