Second Teaser Trailer For Live-Action 'TIGER MASK'

"Tiger Mask" is the alter ego of the character Naoto Date (Eiji Wentz), a pro wrestler who goes against an evil wrestling organization and fights for children in an orphanage. In the new setup for the film, Date dons a special suit and "transforms" into Tiger Mask with enhanced mobility and muscle strength. His mask has also been redesigned with a nod to American comic action heroes such as Spider-Man and Batman.

The film also stars Natsuna Watanabe (Gantz, Kimi ni Todoke) as heroine and love interest, Ruriko and Show Aikawa (Zebraman) as Mister X. Tiger Mask was the basis for the popular character King from the video game Tekken. The original manga from Kajiwara and Tsuji ran from 1968 to 1971 and received an anime adaptation in 1969. The redesigned look for the wrestler is reportedly based on American superheroes Batman and Spider-Man.

The film will open in Japan on November 9."

I actually like the look of it. Even though it is in another language you can figure out the story.

the costume looks too futuristic ... They should stick to the 70's or 80's and make it a time period movie ...

Hate to spoil the ending for everyone, but Tiger Mask winds up losing to John Cena.

You know, nitpicking on a characters movie costume compare to the original one is a fast way to being labeled a moron on this site. But considering the fact that Tiger Mask is a wrestling series and most recent wrestlers (especially the ones in Japan) don't wear combat armor to fight (well, at least not yet); I think nitpicking is much need for this abomination to the character.

Seriously I hope they don't do this futuristic crap with Kinnikuman if he ever given a movie.

I apologize in advance to fans of the original material but somethings are just better animated, lol the ridiculous bangs they were sporting had more screen time than the Tiger dude in costume.

They should have gone with the traditional look, now it looks like a super-low budget Garo.
