News first surfaced on an anime adaptation of One-Punch Man earlier this month with a second report stating that it would premiere later this year in October.  Now, we have details on the anime studio and staff that will be working on the project.  Madhouse, the studio behind great anime series such as Hunter x Hunter and Batman: Gotham Knight among others, is the Japanese animation studio shepherding the project. Director Shingo Natsume (Space Dandy) will be directing the series while Chikashi Kubota (Gurren Lagann, Space Dandy) will design the characters.

One-Punch Man is a manga series written by ONE with art from Yuusuke Murata that revolves around the titular hero, Saitama and his everyday life as a superhero.  In his quest to become strong, Saitama trained to such an extent that he can defeat any enemy with just one punch.  The drawback to having such power is that Saitama is now bored beyond tears that he doesn't have a worthy opponent.  Joining Saitama on his adventures is his android disciple, Genos, who is looking to find the secret to Saitma's strength so that he can complete his own personal mission.  Makoto Furukawa (Aldnoah.Zero) will voice Saitama in the anime series, while  Kaito Ishikawav(Golden TIme, Terraformars) will voice Genos.

One-Punch Man's anime adaptation is reportedly set to premire this October.

BEST [frick]ING NEWS EVER!!!!!! @jediphilosopher that s the brilliance of it, he is the strongest, now if it were boring nobody would love it that much, but somehow it keeps hundreds of thousands of fans going back, thats because he created a ridiculous epic story with great characters. I love this manga, its the best thing of the last few years.

@NateBest Hey, how is Dexter still able to come back to this site after being banned multiple times?

I assume his IP address was banned long ago, but I guess he found a way around that...

The guy is the worst kind of troll, because he just keeps coming back. He should be permanently banned for the stuff he keeps pulling. He has shown time and time again that he is not willing to follow the site's rules.

@GokuSaiyanGodMode Damn you, you cheeky bastard.
Hunter x Hunter reboot was 2 ep shy of 150.

What anime besides Toriko & Hunter x Hunter premiered in this decade has 100+ episodes?

@JediPhilosopher Not even. In the manga, the shockwave from one of his punches (that he held back while throwing) cleared a swath through the clouds in the atmosphere a few hundreds of miles wide around the earth. It also killed the enemy he threw it at, and that enemy happened to have been standing a few yards back.

@mgeoff88 - There's no way to permanently ban someone. The closest we can get is an IP ban, but there are (easy) ways around that. :o(

@NateBest Thanks for the reply. Oh, I thought there was ways to permanently blacklist someone from the site...

Well, as long we make it really hard for him to do his thing, he may eventually give up.
