Total Recall didn't need to be remade, and neither does this.

Uh, Anime News Network noted Spike's comments first. The Angry Asian Man blog missed those. Just saying.

It's not a Remake, The Korean film did its own story different to the original Manga and even changed all the names of the characters it used too. Spike Lee's film is an adaptation that will closely follow the original Managa in story but like the Korean one have its own names to the characters.

I love old boy. Having said that, I don't see American audiences gravitating towards the story.

I saw the Korean one and the ending really scarred me, just a huge shocker, especially the tongue scene, if you seen it than you know what I'm talking about.

What's the issue with this being re-DONE? The original didn't follow the manga very close. THIS one is supposed to. Now, if they go the Total Recall route and SAY they're going to stay closer to the source material and end up churning out another [frick]in re-MAKE, then [frick] 'em. But, if it's going to be as they say, and follow the original manga story line, then I'm all for it! Why not? I've seen reboots, remakes, re-do's and I've enjoyed some, hated others. I've also seen originals that I've hated, some I've loved. Get the [frick] over it. It's going to happen whether you hate on it or not. And you and I know that YOU'LL be seeing it, whether at the theater or via rental. And who knows, you may even like it!
