Alita: Battle Angel has finally fallen out of
the Top 10 domestic films, falling to 15 in its 7th week of release with $500,000 USD.
Overseas, it
earned an additional $747,000 USD, bringing its worldwide weekend haul to $1.247 M USD. Solid numbers for a film in its 7th week of release, however, it currently sits at $402.5million worldwide.
Two separate reports by respected box office analysts have identified the magic, break-even number for
Alita to be either $400 million or $500 million. The movie has no shot at reaching the second number but even if the break-even point is $400 million, one has to imagine that Disney is interested in films that merely break even, looking at its past, present and future film slate.
