A new promo/TV Spot for Netflix's Voltron: Legendary Defender season 3 has leaked online, revealing that the beloved show premieres August 4. Notably absent is Shiro, pilot of the Black Lion, who's absence means the team can't form the super giant fighting robot.

Is it time for Keith to step up as the leader in Shiro's absence? Will Princess Allura become a Paladin? It seems those questions will have to be answered while fending off Prince Lotor, who assumes command of the  Galra Empire as Haggar tends to Zarkon.

Also YOU BETTER BRING SHIRO BACK! He is the one and true Black Paladin and true leader of Voltron.

@pesmerga44 - Zarkon would disagree

@breakUbatman - Shiro beat Zarkon and the Black Lion chose his Paladin.

Most of you all are too young, but the die-cast metal toys from the 80's were AWESOME SAUCE

@KillerOfSaints - You couldn't form Voltron without cutting your fingertips on the sharp edges. That's when toys were TOYS, not that garbage that they push on kids today.

Season 1 was great with a strong ending
Season 2 was good but had a weak ending

Hopefully Season 3 is more reminiscent of the first series, i liked the idea that the team were always on the run or exhausted or simply out-matched by the villains.

@Scarilian - I thought season 2 had a great ending. Good big final battles both with the robots and hand to hand combat and it had a great cliffhanger.

@MrDandy -

I just think they let down what should have been a great villain, Zarkon with his mech suit and the obsession with the Black Lion. Neither aspect made him seem intimidating and both were underdeveloped and rushed in favour of comedic episodes or jokes.

Rights ownership aside, could you crossover Voltron with the likes of He-Man or Thunder Cats?

@WruceBayne - They recently did a crossover with Robotech through Dynamite Entertainment.

Just watched entire show last month! So psyched for this! I watched the old show when I was a kid and the new show has been nothing but faithful to the themes and ideas of the old show but expanded it into so much more. I hope one day they meet CAR VOLTRON!

According to wikipedia, Voltron is already renewed for seasons 4, 5, and 6. So I guess the entire show will be 6 seasons long.
