GHOST IN THE SHELL Starring AVENGERS' Scarlett Johansson Gets A Release Date

It was recently revealed that Scarlett Johansson will star in a big screen adaptation of Ghost in the Shell, and we now have a release date for the movie!

It has been announced by Disney today that Ghost in the Shell will be released on April 14th, 2017. Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Huntsman) is directing from a script which was written by Bill Wheeler (The Reluctant Fundamentalist). Scarlett Johansson is attached to star in Dreamworks' adaptation of the Japanese anime/magna.

In other release date news, Jon Favreau's live action/CGI adatation of The Jungle Book has now been pushed back and won't reach us until April 15th, 2016. Scarlett Johansson will also be in that movie, as will Idris Elba, Bill Murray, Christopher Walken, Giancarlo Esposito, Lupita Nyong'o, and Ben Kingsley.
