Possible New AQUAMAN Logline Teases The Movie's Plot, Confirms Nicole Kidman's Role
A brief new synopsis for James Wan's Aquaman has seemingly been uncovered, providing a few intriguing details about the film's plot. Plus, it seems Nicole Kidman's character has now been confirmed...
Another synopsis for Aquaman seems to have found its way online courtesy of a casting call website known as Acting Auditions. Though it's quite similar to the first logline that was released a while back, there are a few subtle differences. For instance, the King of Atlantis is said to be a "reluctant" ruler here, and more emphasis is placed on the environmental issues that the screenplay will likely tackle.
Though we had a pretty good idea anyway, the site also confirms that Nicole Kidman will be playing Arthur Curry's birth mother, Atlanna.
Aquaman” will center on Aquaman as a reluctant ruler of the underwater kingdom of Atlantis who is caught between land dwellers that are always polluting the globe and his own people who are ready to invade the surface.
Screen Actors Guild Award nominee Jason Momoa will play Aquaman. Also starring is Academy Award winner Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, Hollywood Film Awards winner Amber Heard as Mera, two-time Academy Award nominee Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, two-time Golden Globe Award nominee Patrick Wilson as Orm/Ocean Master, New Zealand Film and TV Awards winner Temuera Morrison as Thomas Curry, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta."
Though this might well be accurate in terms of which story the movie will follow, it shouldn't be taken as the official synopsis, as Warner Bros. will almost certainly release a far more in-depth breakdown in due time.
Aquaman is set to commence production on Australia's Gold Coast in May, for an October 2018 release.
