Deadline reports that Patrick Wilson (Watchmen, Little Children) will re-team with The Conjuring director James Wan for the upcoming solo Aquaman movie. Wilson will play The King of Atlantis' (Jason Momoa) half-brother Orm, who is better known as the villainous Ocean Master.

During the press rounds for The Conjuring 2, Wan and Wilson did hint that the latter might have a role of some description in the standalone DCEU movie, but most of us assumed it'd be more of a cameo. It remains to be seen if Orm is the only bad guy (rumours suggest differently), but it sounds like he will be the main antagonist at any rate.

Aquaman was recently pushed back a few months, and now has a release date of October 5, 2018. What do you guys think of this casting news? Sound off below.

@Kr08 - That's nowhere near as impressive as Doctor Strange becoming Dormammu within the same film!

I kid. But really, people are going to try and make a stink about this when there are plenty of movies where a character plays one person and voices another.

My choice for Black Manta is Sterling K. Brown (This Is Us). He's shown his incredible acting ability on This Is Us and he's capable of playing the disturbed, vengeful man in Supernatural.
