Marvel Studios has finally unveiled the first wave of Avengers: Doomsday merchandise, with companies like Hasbro (via PEOPLE), Iron Studios, SH Figuart, and McFarlane Toys pulling back the curtain on action figures and statues heading our way in the coming months.
As well as offering a closer look at the costumes worn by characters like Doctor Doom, Magneto, Professor X, Captain America, Thor, and several others, we finally get to see what form Victor Von Doom's powers will take on screen.
While there's been speculation about him using red energy projections, they're green here, suggesting those previous leaks were either inaccurate or representative of something we'll see a little later in Avengers: Doomsday. (which would make sense if those theories about him stealing the Scarlet Witch's reality-altering abilities are correct).
As expected, the only characters receiving the spotlight here are those already announced. There have been some fake shots of a Tobey Maguire Spider-Man action figure floating around on social media in recent weeks. However, any spoilery releases like that will likely be saved for after Avengers: Doomsday arrives in theaters.
As for which characters are receiving the spotlight, it certainly appears as if Marvel has prioritised the MCU's heavy-hitters, with the New Avengers—who were last seen in Thunderbolts*—currently missing from this initial lineup.
We'll have more to share with you soon (including some very impressive Hot Toys figures), but collectors will be very excited to see these brands going all in on the next Avengers movies.
