AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY's Fourth Teaser Trailer Will Shift The Spotlight To [SPOILER] And [SPOILER]

We know that the fourth and final Avengers: Doomsday teaser trailer will focus on the Fantastic Four and Wakandans, but the specific characters set to be highlighted have now been revealed.

The hope among fans had been that one of Avengers: Doomsday's teaser trailers would put the spotlight on Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom.

Outside of some promo art, we've seen very little of the MCU's big bad. Even The Fantastic Four: First Steps' post-credits scene only showed him from behind, mask in hand. Alas, it appears Marvel Studios intends to keep us waiting (almost certainly until the first full trailer next year).

Shortly before the holidays, it was widely reported that the fourth and final sneak peek—which will once again debut in theaters ahead of Avatar: Fire and Ash screenings—is going to revolve around the Fantastic Four and Wakandans.

Speculation has since run rampant about Marvel's First Family potentially meeting the new Black Panther. And, like the X-Men-centric teaser coming next week, it's clearly going to be vastly different from the previews revolving around Steve Rogers and Thor.

According to @MyTimeToShineH, "The [fourth] teaser for Doomsday will now have Shuri and Ben Grimm. The Doom-focused teaser is no more."

That's an unexpected pairing, but we have to believe Marvel Studios has something big planned for it. Then again, with the first confirming what we already knew—Chris Evans' MCU return—and the second simply making it clear that Thor is a serious character again, it might be best to keep expectations in check.

Shuri actress Letitia Wright was recently asked about Ryan Coogler's Black Panther 3 plans and replied, "I have no clue. All I know is that we just finished Secret Wars, and that was really great. Doomsday, sorry. I confuse the two. I confused the two. That's what I have to film next, Secret Wars. But Doomsday, we finished that, and that was very great."

Despite refusing to divulge anything about the next Avengers movie, she did say that it's "an honor" to hold the Black Panther mantle, pointing out, "I'm excited for the growth of Shuri to be seen in these next few films."

Avengers: Doomsday officially stars Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Winston Duke, Tom Hiddleston, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, and Robert Downey Jr. Wyatt Russell, Simu Liu, Tenoch Huerta Mejia, Florence Pugh, Danny Ramirez, David Harbour, Hannah John-Kamen, and Lewis Pullman all make their Avengers franchise debuts in the movie.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps leads Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn join them, as do X-Men franchise stars Kelsey Grammer, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, with Deadpool & Wolverine star Channing Tatum.

Chris Evans is also officially confirmed to reprise his role as Steve Rogers. The Hollywood trades have reported that Hayley Atwell and Ryan Reynolds will appear as Peggy Carter and Deadpool, respectively.

The Russo Brothers direct Avengers: Doomsday from a screenplay by Stephen McFeely, with whom they previously collaborated on the Avengers and Captain America franchises. Loki and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness's Michael Waldron is also working on the script.

Avengers: Doomsday is set to be released on December 18, 2026, with Avengers: Secret Wars scheduled to arrive on December 17, 2027.

That’s an odd pairing if true which certainly intrigues me more since i feel Reed alongside Shuri would fit better but we’ll see…

I feel like these character teasers are just moments from the film that Marvel/Disney is using to showcase some of the characters in it to the general audience and just make them aware that there is an Avengers film coming out next year which is fine.

We are so constantly plugged in and in our own bubble that it’s hard to understand that the majority of people don’t know what Marvel is doing in the next year or beyond so promotion like this is for them.

Anyway , i like both Shuri and Ben so looking forward to this teaser!!.

For God sakes can we just get a regular teaser already! This sprinkle sprinkle BS is killing the hype!

@Truoptimusprime - it's marketing. It keeps people talking and rumours being created, therefore keeps people discussing it.

@Truoptimusprime - movie is literally a year away. Chill

@braunermegda - Yeah, but Shurri and Grimm? That's not gonna get anyone really excited. We already know it's coming. Most people are anticipating it. If we get two more lackluster character teasers before the official teaser/trailer people can only lose interest.

@Truoptimusprime - It’s doing the exact opposite of killing the hype. It’s got us talking about the upcoming movie repeatedly.

@Truoptimusprime - They're teasing the imminent threat. And then the full teaser trailer will bring that threat. It's the "news" that's pissing you off; not the actual trailers.

@Truoptimusprime - You obviously do not understand what they are doing here from a marketing standpoint. They are creating massive amounts of engagement. Whether that is positive or negative it does not matter because it has and will continue to create it. Even you complaining here generates that engagement.

@Truoptimusprime - Sounds like the marketing is working if you’re already begging for a trailer.

@RolandD - That's right. Plus, it would be very unusual 12 months before the release to get a regular teaser. They are still editing and putting the film together based on the initial shoots. The footage used for these little teasers was specifically shot for these teasers -- i very much doubt will see these sequences in the final movie.

@DarthOmega - not necessarily. People are complaining, and this means they're still talking about it, and this is exactly what Mervel want.

To who ? To Nick Reiner ?

That’s an unusual pairing. There is an FF/BP connection that goes way back, though since BP debuted in an early issue of FF, but still Ben and Sheri seems odd.
TheVisionary25
TheVisionary25 - 12/26/2025, 9:48 AM
@RolandD - yeah , the FF and Wakanda have history in the comics as does Doom with the latter…

In regards to the MCU , I wouldn’t be surprised if Reed goes to them because they are the closest thing to comparable tech to his world he could work with.
RolandD
RolandD - 12/26/2025, 10:03 AM
@TheVisionary25 - I still wonder what they plan to do with the FF. Before the movie , I expected them to wind up in 616.
TheVisionary25
TheVisionary25 - 12/26/2025, 10:15 AM
@RolandD - my guess is post SW , they will be integrated into the MCU like they have always been there.
RolandD
RolandD - 12/26/2025, 10:37 AM
@TheVisionary25 - That would be fine with me and I am absolutely fine with the current actress in the role. Unlike many of the other commenters here. I hope that you’re right.
