We already know the trailer for
Avengers 4 will arrive sometime in 2018, although the exact date still remains a mystery.
History suggests the teaser for the highly anticipated
Infinity War follow-up could drop in late November or possibly early December. And now we have possibly more evidence lending credence to that theory.
Featured on the back of the recently released
Captain Marvel prelude comic is an advertisement for the
Avengers 4 prelude comic which goes on sale December 5. This sparked speculation that the trailer will arrive sometime before the prelude comic hits stores.
We don't know exactly what will be featured in the prelude comic for the film, but the ad teases:
"To find out how Tony Stark disappeared and what's happening in Wakanda, check out Avengers Prelude."
The belief here is based on the notion that the prelude comic will contain plot details for
Avengers 4, something that we don't know for sure just yet. Should it contain spoilers for the upcoming
Infinity War sequel, however, then it would only make sense for Marvel Studios to get the jump on it and release a teaser trailer and some plot details for the prelude to comic to build on.
Of course, nothing in the ad explicitly teases such spoilers. In fact, it very much sounds like it could just be a summary of what happened in
Avengers: Infinity War and how we're set up for the uncertain future of the MCU.
Should the
Avengers 4 trailer arrive in November, there are some interesting dates for when it could debut. It's possible Disney could tie it to
Ralph Breaks the Internet - the highly anticipated sequel to
Wreck-it Ralph - which releases November 21. Alternatively, the trailer could drop on the one-year anniversary of when the first
Avengers: Infinity War teaser released on November 29. Beyond those two dates,
there's speculation that the trailer could debut either on Monday Night Football on November 26 or a Sunday Night Football game on December 2, though the latter date seems pretty unlikely since Sunday Night Football airs on NBC. Disney would presumably want to boost numbers for its ESPN broadcast on Monday.
The point is, we should expect the
Avengers 4 trailer soon as the highly anticipated film hits theaters May 3, 2019.
